The Libertines, on a reaction channel? There still may be hope for humanity after all. No, this is just a pleasant shock to the system. They were only together for two albums until they basically imploded, but it was a good, if short, ride. There is SO much music out there; I'm 61 and still realize I have barely scratched the surface. Seriously, I do very much enjoy your channel's diversity and sense of fun. Cheers.

I really like this song a lot! I don't believe I have heard it before, but I love the feeling of the song. Of all the cities I have traveled to in my life, London is my number one favorite. There is something really energizing about it, I loved the people and the cool mixture of the old and the new. This song brought back a lot of happy memories and made me feel that London vibe again. I would definitely listen to this song again and would be interested in learning more about the band.

Back in the 90s my husband and I were dating. He was big into Country music so I listened to what he liked. This is the first time I've heard this song. I think I've heard of the group. To me they sound like the 60s Beatles, before they really exploded.

Awesome, more please, pronouncement is "liberteens" after they split frontman Peter Doherty started babyshambles also a good succesful band. The libertines are back together after a long split. Peter is finally clean and made some great solo albums aswell.

Possibly my favourite song of all time! Not trying to take the credit here, I just don't remember the persons name, but there's a great comment on another video of this song on you tube 'You may be cool, but you'll never be Pete Doherty shoplifting his own album cool!'

In the tradition of Dr Feelgood, The 101'ers, Ian Dury, Elvis Costello ..they captured so well that 70s British garage pub rock feel and sounds...

I'm sure someone may have mentioned this by now, but it's pronounce "LIB-UH-TEENS". 😉 Great video though guys. My favourite line from the song is "Cornered, the boy kicked out at the world. The world kicked back, a lot f#%$ing harder though!" Oh and react to Hi Ren by Ren! Edit 4: Oh you have done already. 😂

Pronounced liber teen.A libertine is a person devoid of most moral principles, a sense of responsibility, or sexual restraints, which they see as unnecessary or undesirable, and is especially someone who ignores or even spurns accepted morals and forms of behaviour observed by the larger society This is prob their most commercial hit and was used in comedy Gavin and Stacy which was partly written and acted in by James Corden from the late show.

Nothing new...Nick Cave in his early days was the same as was Roland Howard his mate and fellow Birthday Party member...just like living poor, squatting...a meagre pay each gig, going hungry...it just seemed to be part of the deal...
