Lyrics:
Hello?
Hello?
Hello?
Hello?
Dee, it’s Mary
Did you hear the news
The girls at Rydell
Have gone cuckoo, its true
It’s true
It’s true
I heard they got into the peppermint schnapps
Oh gee oh my
I heard it was reefer, their eyes were bloodshot
I could just die
This deviancy is contagious
Cut 'em some slack, they're going through changes
When did they all get so shameless
Outrageous
Protect your kids
Lock your doors
'Cause they’re raising hell
Did you hear about the girl gang at Rydell
Writhing and raving and causing a scene
My poor Susan’s still a teen
Her virgin eyes are too pristine
To behold the obscene
Someone call McGee
I blame the mothers
They’re clearly not around
I blame the mothers
I would have put my kitten heel down
This deviancy is contagious
Hide your sons before they go out and chase it
Unladylike, I can’t take it
Outrageous
Protect your kids
Lock your doors
'Cause they're raising hell
Did you hear about the girl gang at Rydell
Is this really how you want to run your school
Girls running wild, breaking all the rules
Nudity and theft
Is there no decency left
You have to
Do something
Do something
Do something
Do something
Are you listening?
Yes
Rest assured the girls will pay for their shenanigans
Just as soon as parents answer, punishment begins
They’re ruining the reputation
Of the school and the town
With this rebel situation
Giving in to temptation
It's Lucifer in lipstick and braces
Oh me oh my
I could just die and die again
They need to act like ladies
No one's ever gonna give them a baby
Hormones flying like crazy
Outrageous
We need to save our daughters
From this plague
Before it spreads
Into something we can’t tame
They stole a car, what’s next
Robbing banks, what’s next
Sneaking out to have premarital sex
Those communist sluts
Showing people their butts
Corrupting all our kids with violence and drugs
Outrageous
and dangerous
Can’t take it
Outrageous
Golly gee golly gee
Oh my gosh oh my gosh
Make it stop make it stop
Golly gee oh my gosh
Protect your kids
Lock your doors
'Cause they're raising hell
Did you hear about the girl gang at Rydell

I love how all the moms are doing weird or bad things while judging those teenage girls lol. The mom sitting on top of the washing machine cracked me up 😂

@toba's boba Oh, my sweet summer child xD
What's sad but also brilliant in this song is that Susan is eating a cookie (a very harmless kid thing) but her mother is forcing diet pills on her. It's a clever way of showing the mixed messages teenage girls were getting. Also, you've got to love that it's a grown-up version of "The Telephone Hour" from "Bye Bye Birdie" (another case where the stage version is vastly superior to the movie version).
The choreography!!! The sets!!! The editing !!! The Bye Bye Birdie homage!!! This whole scene is so brilliant!! Grease was always about de-romanticizing the 50s, so this scene is pure genius!!! Pure Grease to the core
I love that Cynthia just straight up unplugged the phone. It makes me laugh every time.
This song is hysterical and so typical of the 50's hypocrisy of parents!
The mom on the washing machine slayedddddd

I love her parts in the song
I can't be the only one coming back to this literally every other day
I don’t know why, but the flute loops in the background are one of the catchiest parts of this entire song. And the melody’s already catchy enough!

That's because it's throughout the whole series.
My overall favorite song so far. Love everything about it, especially love the hypocrisy of the moms.
THIS SONG IS JUST SO GOODDDDD the choreography, the directing and acting too! just loved this one immediately.
I can't believe Paramount+ just took this off! I wasn't finished with the season! I only made it to the driving episode!
Nancy: Frosty Palace? Ms McGee: Hello. Nancy: *panics* Ms McGee: May I speak with Mrs Nakaga- *SHUT* I just can't stop laughing at that!!! 🤣
One of the best numbers of the season, what an excellent kick off to episode 2.
This number! The Choreography! ICONIC!
I’m obsessed with this song lol
Didn't know I needed a musical version of Feminine Mystique by Betty Freidman until now. Great stuff
This is everything!!
I love a bye bye birds scene
This number was hilarious! Thank you for posting this. Please add closed captions for Same Sky! ✌️

@Paramount Plus, thank you for adding captions to “Same Sky”! ✌️
This would be the sort of things Mums would talk about in group chats in the 50s if they had Whatsapp

I have a theory that in some cases very little actually changes, just the technology used to accomplish it.
Best song so far this season! So good haha
Obsessed with this song!!! I love the show too
Me gusta como canta la madre de Susan en su primera escena. Y también me gusta la cara que pone su hija en el minuto 1:05
No wonder Susan's so snarky all the time, her mum's got her on diet pills!
This song had no business being this good! Like these ladies went off!!!!!
I’m listening to this song with my retro phone adapter I plug into my smartphone lol.
Reminds me of that song from bye bye birdie
1:04 The kind of thing Sandy would wear except she's not a snob and while acting good doesn't act like she's better than everyone else.
BRING IT BACK
Don’t cancel Rise of the Pink Ladies!
I think all the moms are hypocrites. The mom putting cigarette butts in the food, the mom sitting on dishwasher, the pregnant mom drinking, the one not paying attention to her kid and chugging alcohol, Susan’s mom giving her diet pills

…that’s the point. You didn’t think it, it’s what’s implied because it’s literally happening.

Another thing is that later in the song Susan’s mom eats the cookie she took away from Susan earlier in the song
I’m so mad at Paramount + for canceling this show! DEVASTATING! And theyre also taking it off Paramount completely
We already know you shouldn't drink when pregnant. But it also can't be safe to drink while still wearing the gloves you were just using to clean something.
Al menos hay padres. En las pelis de Grease parecen huérfanos 😂
This musical numbers I know it’s crazy but it’s reminds of the song of mothers should know lol
Should change the end to “no longer streaming” >:(
Is it just me or does the mum on the washing machine kind of sound like Stephanie Beatriz?

Have you heard about Hugo and Kim?
Did some of those women just try to dial numbers on the receiver part while using a rotary phone? I’m pretty sure phones didn’t have buttons, or at least buttons like that back then. I though it was weird.
1:27 Wait, the mum in the bottom right in red with the baby - is she pouring herself a drink while tending to her baby or is she giving her baby alcohol? Ok, I know some people put a drop or two of some sort of alcohol into warm milk when their baby is teething but this doesn't look like it was being mixed with anything

Another streaming flops/money graves, I would bet
