    I’m curious how the Gravity MP compares to the Pure Drive/Aero and Speed MP. In fact I haven’t seen a good video comparing multiple (4+ at least) 100 sq inch racquets.

    Thx for this great review. I bought the gravity MP , strung with revolve spin17 at 48lbs. Amazing feeling of control ,touch and spin. I play with an overgrip and I play top spin. What would you recommend to increase the weight a little against hard hitting players for some stability without changing the balance and nature of the racket. Also, I had a little inner shoulder pain towards the end of my training which I did not have with my blade v8 98 (16.19). Should.I just decrease the string tension even below factory recommendation of the racket such as 46 pounds or switch to softer poly or gut. Thank you,

    @courtside sports Thanks so much for your videos and advises. I've been trying the PS 100 and Ive got the sensation that it is a bit heavier than the 98" 16x19, even thought the latter is 5 grams more with the same balance. Also, it has been causing me a wrist issues which Ive never experienced before. Do you think it is related to the 100 itself? I already bought the PS but now I need to decide between the two or for another Babolat. I play with a extreme semi western grip, with plenty of spin and a bit aggresive so I want to have more control on my shots. THanks

    Its possible that you got a 100, or a 98, or both, that were off-spec. Babolat has a pretty wide quality control tolerance for what they will consider acceptable. +/- 7 grams. Wrist pain is probably related to technique. If the racquet is heavier, maybe you are hitting the ball late, leading to wrist pain. If you want to stay Babolat and get more control, I think your only choice left is the VS line. Either the Pure Drive VS or the Pure Aero VS. I haven't tried either so I can't comment much on them.

    The Gravity MP has a more responsive and connected feel, while the Speed is more muted. The Speed feels heavier in the head, but both are very stable and handle incoming pace very well. The Gravity has a more consistent, controllable string bed, butt produces less topspin. I pick the Gravity MP every day over the Speed

    The Gravity MP swings a lot fast. The Pure Aero has better plowthrough and more torsional stability, but less control. The feels on the Gravity is superior. Much more connected feel. The Pure Aero is a bit muted. I prefer the Gravity MP, also I did use the old Aero Pro Drives throughout my teens.

    Hello, how would you compare the gravity tour to the clash 100 or clash 100 pro? I like the tighter 18*20 pattern on the gravity tour cause I'm more of a flat hitter but I also like the low flex rating of the clash I'm a 40 years old player who used to play regularly when I was younger and just getting back to tennis after 10 years of not playing

    Clash 100 Super flexible frame and comfortable on the arm. Easy power and spin lots of fun one of my favourite arm friendly raquets. I find the Clash 100 has less stability than the Head Gravity range on returns and less control. Hope this helps both arm friendly and monuverable. Clash for social games the Head Gravity for Tournaments I love hitting with both.

    I made the mistake of buying a Gravity Lite. Stung with a poly at 50 lbs., it gave me tennis elbow despite its low 60 RA. Per the manufacturer's recommendation, I had it restrung with Head Velocity multifilament at 55 lbs. It played okay for about an hour but when the strings broke in, my shots became unpredictable and I had no idea where the ball would land. It is unplayable and I've retired it to my Land of Lost Racquets closet. I would buy a Gravity MP but fear that it's also too light.

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    I recommend the Radical MP and the Extreme Tour and the EZONE 98. In term of feel, the EZONE will feel most similar, as it is also kind of muted, but the Radical and Extremes are phenomenal sticks that had great spin, good stability and a lot of consistency off the string bed. The Clash with probably feel more "noodly" than you'll like and the Radical Pro may be too many steps in the direction of control, but its still an awesome stick.

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @CourtsideSportsLTD

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@JacekRapacz I'm not sure exactly what would have shipped from the factory. In Canada, we always get these unstrung. Regardless, factory stringjobs are often poor in terms of tension maintenance and consistency. Part of it is due to less careful factory workers, but also consider how much tension is lost over time, temperature and pressure changes during shipping and storage. Even getting something as close as possible to the factory strings will give you better control through tension and better power through the resiliency of a new string.

    I play since 1 month with the Strike 100 (I played before with Wildon Ultra Tour and before with the Wilson PS ncode 95 Teams: great rackets) : 6/10 for "feel" is very very low and exagerated ... not a credible rating (sorry to say so). Feel = 8/10 in my opinion. Did you play enough with it ? what were the conditions of your test ? Against big hitter ?

    Have the PS 100 3 Gen and think you make some pretty insightful comments, ones you don't find in a lot of reviews. It actually suits my game and needs with one exception... I agree re the power, serve performance and the more HH balance, but also re the feel. This is where I have an issue. Am experimenting with different strings to see if this can help out, but suspect the disconnected feel is there to stay. Anyway, nice comparison though. Have just subscribed.

    Ross, try a blend of gut/quality multi in the mains, and some softer poly (hyper g soft) in the crosses. I string at 52/50 and find it does two things: more feel and better control. NOTE: I've got a Gravity S with some added weight for doubles.

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    Pretty different. The EZONE 100 plays very powerfully, much like a Pure Drive. The EZONE 98 plays closer to the Gravity MP in terms of the balance between power, control and spin. The Gravity MP is a bit easier to use, but the EZONE 98 feels a bit more stable on volleys.

    I would have to play around with it, but i'd start with a leather grip and 8g of lead at 12 o clock. Other users like to add weight at 3 and 9 for stability, but my mains concern when customizing is swingweight, so I put it all at 12.

    Pure Drive has more power, spin and a stiffer feel. Gravity and Speed have similar control and softer feels. Speed feels more muted than the Gravity and slightly higher spin potential. • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @@swamenathan The Speed MP feels heavier due to a lot more weight in the head. I personally don't think there's a lot to gain by going to the Speed, unless you really like the open 16x19 pattern. I think the Gravity has better feel and similar overall performance, especially if you were to add 5g of weight. For Yonex, I would definitely check out the EZone 98. It is one of my favourite racquets currently available. It swings fast, has a solid, direct and consistent impact feel just like the Gravity MP, but I think there's a little more precision off the string bed.
