This video will guide you through all necessary steps and how to clean your gravity fed Spaceman soft serve machine. While the general principles in this video can be used for most soft serve ice cream machines, the video is specifically intended for the following models:
Spaceman 6210-C, 6228-C, 6234-C, 6235-C, 6236-C, 6250-C, 6378-C

Quick question. We have a 6235c model and when we put it in night mode, the manual says to flip the air tubes. When we do that the lids do not close and cover the hoppers. What do we need to do to make sure the product is covered?

Reason of lob the shafts? And why we should lob end of shafts?

Hello, It is good to lube any areas with o-rings or gaskets as well as the drive shaft which fits into the rear shell bearing. It will allow the parts to move freely, reduce friction, and improve performance and lifetime on the parts. Thank you!

How much is your machine?
Hello Spaceman. Is the feed tube necessary? What is it for in gravity fed machines?

Hi Albert, The feed tube is not necessary, but it helps to control overrun. The feed tube allows product to enter from the bottom/side hole and air to enter from the top. This way, each time the freezing cylinder needs to refill or bring in new product it is bringing in a mixture of air and product. The larger the inlet hole for the product is on the feed tube, the more product and less air. The smaller the inlet hole for product means less product and more air - but this can cause restrictions in product flow and starving the cylinder with thick products. When using the feed tube, always ensure the product hole is at the bottom and the feed tube is cleaned daily. More information can be found on our knowledge base.

Hello! If you are using a 208-240v machine, you can start around 2.2 for sorbets and 2.5 for dairy products. Allow for the machine to fully cycle off and test the hardness. If it is not hard enough, you can adjust upwards slowly, by 0.10 - 0.20 at a time, allowing the machine to cylce each time. It only takes 30-60 seconds each time you adjust up, so it will not take you too long. But, be patient. If you go up too much you will freeze the machine and have t wait until it defrosts and start all over. Once you find the perfect viscosity, leave it alone. If the product gets soft later on, it is likely normal product break down and will improve as you pull more product. Do not micro manage the viscosity settings! You have a video titled "adjusting settings on a spaceman soft serve machine" which helps you make the changes. For a 115v model 6210, typically you will start around 4.5 and go up from there.
What feed tube model do you recomend for a 6220?

Hi David, We recommend the air tube that comes with the model. It should have a 6-7 mm inlet hole. You can find the documentation and part list on our website spacemanusa.com under the resource and documentation tab. Thanks!
