in this video you will watch DPU20 and DPU30 locomotives current condition, Pakistan Railways brought these locomotives in 2003 from Dong fang Dalian locomotive corporation, China.
few of the locomotive,s were CBU and others were SKD & CKD and assembled here at Risalpur locomotive factory Pakistan, total units of Locomotives were 69,
after 2 years of service in Pakistan Railways few major defects were found in these DPU20 and Dpu30 locomotives, and most common were cracks in under frames,
now all of these chines locomotives are grounded since
2010 and waiting for rehabilitation,
it was 7 millions $ deal which badly damaged the performance of Pakistan Railways,

    ویڈیو تو آپ نے بہت اچھی بنائی ہے مگر پاکستان کے ادارے کے ان اثاثوں کا حال دیکھ کر بہت دکھ ہوا ہے 12 سال میں ہی ان انجنوں کو سکریپ کردیا ہے حالانکہ پاکستان میں 40 سال پرانے رکشے موٹر سائیکل اور کاریں چل رہے ہیں

    As far as diesel railway engine manufacturing is concerned Indian engines are far better than Chinise. Our ALCOs ( first manufactured around late fifties ) are still running. Many of those present ones are fifty years old. Pakistan is wasting public money.

    This is a very heart breaking news that 69 unit Locomotives break down. A big wastage of money. China should take care of this Loco after sale. Here in Bangladesh around 15-20 Loco are still giving service last 60 years. This are American Loco. Our Govt import Loco from Canada, Japan,America.

    Sad to see such a situation of Locomotives in Pakistan. Maybe if they have gone with European or American Locomotives they could have cost more but definitely lasted long.

    I don't get what is the problem. For USD 7 million you got 69 locos! That's a steal. That they last as long as they have, you got more than your money worth.

    Chinese locomotives have poor reputation in Australia, not many operating, only three companies bought very small number and no more. Junk Boxes are the best description for them. PR should have considered fixing the underframes and then refitting a reconditioned GE or EMD motor in them? Perhaps costs were an issue for this task? What a shame and waste of public money. PR should have only purchased 10 as a trial/test basis to evaluate performance with an option to order the remaining 59 later after a period running the first ten in service.

    Like a VLOG and very informative. Just a suggestion if you would use a drone technology would help you to cover a whole yard and will be convenient for you as well. No doubt your VLOG’s always worth to watch.
