Fun Fact: if Jordan was deep in snow on the east coast now, he would find a way to break the ice and melt his way to somewhere he had never been so we would get to see something we may never see for ourselves in our lifetime: and THAT is exactly why we love him !!

I have an older brother who always had to watch this kind of TV. Twilight Zone, Outer Limits so when Night Gallery came on we had to watch that too! As a kid some of that stuff scared the bejeezus out of me but I still watched! Really sad about George Reeves at the end of his life. Yesterday Kiss was on the Price Is Right! Some guy won not only tickets, a back stage pass and all access, but will be flying and staying in Detroit before coming back to LA. Of course he was jumping up and down!

Jah looked so comfy and warm on a rainy day. It was neat seeing all the details up-close of the original Night Gallery artwork. I’m so glad they saved the art, very expressive and moody. Such an interesting and unique setting for art. The mausoleum and chapel are very beautiful, especially the ocular window and the painted ceiling. Too bad about the Twilight Zone memorabilia. I agree they should have had the notice of no photography on the website. The whole situation surrounding George Reeves death is suspicious...very sad for his family. He played the Tarleton brothers in Gone with the Wind, if I remember correctly. That hot dog looked so good. What a fantastic vlog!

It's all good Jordan..... I think the vlog still entertained, and included some details about George Reeves I was not aware of. In terms of Rod Serling, I still really enjoyed the art work, and because I was such a huge fan of Night Gallery, I recognized a fair amount of those pieces, notably that of Joan Crawford for sure. Even with having to roll with it Jordan, you still absolutely never disappoint my friend. Thanks again Jordan. I'll catch you on the next vlog. Arthur Childs, Oak Harbor, WA. 🙂

Wow original art work from the Night Gallery! I recognised many of them. It's too bad Rod Serling didn't have more control of that series. I'm sure it would have lasted longer than 2 years It's to bad about the Twilight Zone memorabilia. I would have really liked to have seen it. TZ is my all time favorite show. Oh and George Reeves. Sad situation there. Take care everyone! Hope the rain stops soon for you and Jah!

Rod Serling hated Night Gallery, and resented being forced to host the show due to contractural obligations. He neither wrote nor produced any of the episodes, as he did with The Twilight Zone.

  • @martinbeneteau309

Yes Greg isn't that sad? I think he originally wanted it that way because TZ took such a toll on him and he didn't want the responsibility. But he realized afterward that his name was on it and everyone assumed it was his work. Must have been very hard on him. The really sad part of it is we would loose him just two years later.

Rod Sterling spent a lot of time in his home state central NY. He actually owned a home on Cayuga lake that was directly across the lake from my Uncles marina. He was also know to buy suits from a men's high end clothing store in Auburn. The store was up the street from the prison. I think it was something like Hummels. The store was still open in the 70s and early 90s. There are episodes that feature the towns from the southern tier of NY. One took place in a bus or train station. It's neat that he stayed close to home and didnt move to Hollywood. George Reeves was only 45 when he died? They must have lived fast and hard in Hollywood in the old days

There is a website called The Adventures Continue that is a tribute to George Reeves the man. It has a lot of interesting information and pictures. There also are photos of the house at 1579 Benedict Canyon Drive that was purchased for him by Toni Mannix. There are pictures of the outside and interior of the house including the upstairs bedroom where he mysteriously died. It remains controversial to this day.
