I was blessed to meet Patrick Swayze in person in NY. I was a photo editor at TV Guide st the time and the Hallmark Channel was one of the networks I was responsible for. Patrick had just done a movie for Hallmark & I got an invitation for the movie. Not only did I meet Patrick but I met his wife Lisa and his brother. I told Patrick how much his performance in "Ghost" brought me to tears because my Dad had died suddenly from a heart attack the month before. As I'm telling Patrick all this, tears welled up in his eyes. His father had died suddenly from a heart attack, too. Patrick was so nice. I will NEVER forget meeting & talking to him. ❤

My cousins attended Waltrip High School in Houston with Patrick Swayze. My Aunt knew Patsy Swayze. Everyone in Houston knew Patsy. Patrick lived three miles from my house in Lake View Terrace. My husband met him shortly before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Just wish my husband would have gotten his autograph for me. I wanted to meet him. He was a true Texan gentleman. Very down to earth. Very nice very polite. He loved his fans loyalty.

Hi Jordan from Athens, Greece. Thank you so much for doing this blog of Patrick Swayze, you are a Peach! I read that the resort, where they filmed Dirty Dancing, at "Mountain Lake Lodge" in Virginia still honors the movie, in fact, they have a "Dirty Dancing Themed Weekend package", where you can learn some of the dances. They also have a stone memorial in honor of Patrick Swayze, R.I.P.

Great vlog. Thank you for covering Patrick. I loved watching him dance. He was so powerful and yet graceful at the same time. He didn't get along well with Jennifer Grey when they were working on Dirty Dancing. She was known to get on Patrick's nerves at times. I was heartbroken when I learned that Patrick had Pancreatic cancer. It was so hard to watch this beautiful, graceful man die before our eyes. We lost someone special when Patrick died. I hope Patrick is resting in peace. I miss you Patrick and life is a little less bright without you in in. Thanks for doing one of your lovely vlogs on Patrick. Stay safe and take care.

Thank you for profiling our hometown boy Patrick Swayze- he’s from the same part of Houston I’m from. Our pediatrician who kept in contact with him and was close friends with his family just died in August. He had his autograph and my mom was good friends with him and worked as his nurse for a while and got to see it ... Such a great guy who never forgot his roots. He was a party guy at Waltrip high school and they called him crazy Swayze my youth leader who knew him once told me. Our Dr. told us he complained about dancing at his mamas studio but he once told him it got him to where he was he can’t complain much anymore lol

Every time life gave him lemons he made a lot of lemonade. Didn’t really know much at all about his parents. He had a whole lot of interests . He had a very balanced life. Thank you for showing the places where he lived. He was hard watching the toll his cancer had on him. His brother Don looks just like Patrick. Enjoy watching Jah in the park. Jordan, you did this Vlog serious Justice! Patrick Swayze was an Icon in his own right. My mom still has her Patrick Swayze poster with Patrick in overalls with one side un-buttoned. I guess that was sexy in the 80's. When Swayze died she put the huge poster in a frame and hung it up in her sewing room and cried for a week, its still on the wall😔 😔 😔 . Thank You for making this vlog, Jordan. I have long been a Patrick Swayze fan since I saw him in the TV mini series North and South and continued to love him in his many iconic roles. Him playing a Drag Queen in To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar was totally a off the wall change for him , but I just loved him in that role and the film. It really stands out to me as him proving he was a actor. It was heartbreaking to learn he had passed and like many I had hoped he would win his cancer battle. It was great getting to know more about his life. Patrick's success , many great films and performances surely would have made Buddy proud like that DeLorean did. They will always be there for us fans who love and miss him to remember him .

This one is so informative and interesting, certain things I was not aware of, but gives us a real glimpse into the man he was, and how he fought through all the adversities and carried on. He was obviously gorgeous, not just on the outside (swoon :), but on the inside too. His dancing was something else. I am so glad he danced with his wife on stage, that is a memory she will surely treasure. He has surely left his legacy in the films he made, and that was his calling in the end. Looking forward to watching more vlogs, well done Jordan!

When I lived in Hollywood in the 80's, one of the guys that I shared a house with, started his own car detailing business in Beverly Hills. He just passed out cards putting them on mailboxes, and said he didn't get his best customer until a year later. He inspired me to start my own pool service business in the same area.

Your vlog is better than most of the "documentaries" about Patrick Swayze. I grew up in Houston in the same neighborhood as the Swayze's . Patrick( was a few years older), I was in class with his younger brother Donnie. Donnie used to shoot spit wads at me in English class to get my attention ,when I needed to "move over enough) so he could see my paper. LOL We all went to Waltrip High School in Oak Forest, suburb of Houston . Shelly Duvall, who played Olive Oil In Popeye, also went to Waltrip( her brother,Stewart, was my age). Most of my childhood friends attended dance class with Patsy, when we were seven and eight. I'm pretty sure the entire Swayze clan would have loved being friends with you Jordan. Fantastic video! I have always enjoyed Patrick and his life journey. I’ve watched the Barbra Walters special with him and his wife. What a fascinating guy! He also if I’m not mistaken came up with the song She’s Like The Wind and sang the song. There is a video talking about how nervous he was to sing in front of a camera and people. Just a real true upfront honest, open guy that I was so interested in knowing all about him . Wonderful job sharing his story, very nicely done! I appreciate the work involved in you making the video!

@Daze with Jordan the Lion Boy this was amazing, it made me cry . Really loved his spirit and heart. I followed his career for a very long time .His body of work was truly inspirational. Outsiders was one of my favorite films. I had read the book. I enjoyed all his films to be honest. It was such a tragedy he lost his life so soon. I was so impressed with this vlog. You just keep getting better if that's even possible. Much love and thank you for YOUR body of work. 🙂

Thank you so much for this piece on Patrick Swayze. I loved him in Ghost, but his dancing in Dirty Dancing was amazing. I think I saw that movie in a cinema at least three times. 'Nobody puts Baby down'. Love your vlogs. Love old Hollywood, and man, you have taught me a lot about the 'golden' days of Hollywood.

Jordan - Thank you for this video. I never knew about some of his other aspirations. It says a lot about his character that he didn't let those early set backs get him down. He just changed/adjusted his goals. I don't know if I could be that resilient. I've always had a lot of respect for him as an artist and now even more as a human being. Thank you Jordan. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭

Great vlog, I remember the chase scene in Point Break, I met Keanu Reeves while he was making Speed and I asked him about that scene - he said Patrick said "lets go Reeves" and that it took 3 days to shoot.

Always liked Patrick Swayze's movies! My favorite was the bank robber one with skydiving. I'm terrible at remembering names. Sad story looking back but life's not all a bed of roses. The book sounds great I'll have to buy it! RIP Patrick!!! Great job on your video about the man!!!

He was an extremely intense guy to a fault. But he was incredibly gifted and we got see those gifts preserved in movies. I first saw him in The Outsiders. Incredible film, especially at the time. It's so great that he stayed grounded despite super stardom and married his first love. I saw his documentary and read his book. He lived a great life.

Total Alpha male ! Loved Patrick as a actor and a man. When he died it was the first time in my adult life that I thought about age , once you start seeing the people you are fans of as a kid dying it evokes that feeling of how quick time flies.
