Jordan, I’m glad you brought up the shady practices of his business partners. It’s my opinion that they continue to keep Bob on TV and sell his painting class to continue bringing in revenue. I don’t think they care one bit about Bob’s legacy, otherwise they would have included his son in the business.

There’s a very good reason they did not include his son in the business. I won’t go into it here, but I wouldn’t have included him either, under those circumstances. By the way, I was a Bob Ross instructor for 20 years, so I know a little about the company.

I loved Bob. He aways seemed so nice and peaceful. He looked so happy talking about painting while he painted a picture. Sad how things ended. Glad to know his name is still out there and his way of painting is still being taught. Rest in Peace Bob. Thank you, Jordan, for telling his story. Take care.

I didn't realize he has been gone that long. Someone created a video of clips of all his paintings and commented "Bob Ross didn't just paint, he took us on a journey". I couldn't agree more.

He was a wonderful man, and so talented. I loved watching his show, even though I've never painted. I just enjoyed watching him, and listen to his quiet, calm voice. It's heartbreaking what happened after his wife died, and then all the things that took place after his death. He didn't deserve to be treated like this.

I love how you tell the stories behind the person. You are great at this, and really give an in depth view of the person. Thank you for this Jordan!

I was a teen when I watched Mr Ross. He served active duty Air Force. He did a 180°. I was amazed how he'd start out with a blank canvas & create such beautiful landscapes from his own creative mind. "Hey let's add some birds on this tree!" He created so many beautiful, unique paintings. His Son is also a chip off the block.

Great Part two Jordan. What a kind soul, who taught us fans how to paint. When we painted along with him, we'd pause the show, go back over, and over again, see him do the brush strokes, just to get it like his! Bill Alexander, bless him, was a great painter in his own right too... With the little hand wave, I say: God bless you Bob!

Bob was really an amazing and very influential man. I absolutely love watching archived episodes occasionally, and I love the fact that he really knew how to reach the hearts of so many people. I remember seeing that they had reruns of his show on PBS, I was with a long time friend of mine, and we were trying to find something to watch. Another friend of mine just loves Bob, and she watches him on KZread a lot. The impact he made was phenomenal. I learned that Bob spoke so quietly on his show, because I read somewhere that he hated yelling in the military. He was a high-ranking official, so he had to. But he really hated it. I also learned that he really hated his permed hair. And finally, I had a customer at my job who actually got to meet Bob at a meet-and-greet/signing. He really was an amazing person. Rest easy, Bob. ♥️♥️♥️🖌️🧑‍🎨🖼️

Bob wasn't a clerk for very long. He rose to the rank of master sergeant and served as the first sergeant of the clinic at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.

I love watching Bob Ross, as does my son. I even bought my son Declan a pop vinyl of Bob. Missed . 🖌️🖼️
