Graphite Pencil Portrait of Margot Robbie

Ойын-сауық

Here's my portrait of Margot Robbie in graphite. I used Faber Castell regular and matt graphite pencils on a Fabriano drawing paper.

Great drawing! Those are the same pencils and drawing tools I use. I love watching your work. You taught me some awesome techniques in drawing and I tried them out in my drawings! Thank you for your videos!

Veliki pozdrav iz Rusije! I'm also a person who learns how to draw by myself and now I'm in the process of making my own portrait of one beautiful girl, also with blonde hairs. Watching this video helped a lot as I'm also using just graphite pencils. I've done some drawings in the past, but never tried to do the blonde hairs, not to mention overall struggles with hairs. As it looks it's not very difficult though. PS. You have such a great talent. For me the drawings of Gladiator actor and wolf were especially stunning. A true masterpiece to show every single fur's hair of the lattest

Great portrait Miroslav ❤ I think you totally captured the likeness. The black shirt strap on the lower left part looks a bit disconnected. Anyway, love to see your work and process as always. The hair treatment is amazing 👌🙏

Wonderful. However, I would like to see how you create a portrait before coloring it.

Most likely grid method. Most people who do realism sketch first with a grid reference to save time and get portraits right. Nothing wrong with that.

He’s using tracing in this case as far as I can tell. Makes it much easier and quicker

It would be interesting to see you do this same portrait again but on black paper to compare them. Just my personal whim, lol.

Nah, I think it's much easier this way. If anything I'd rather try a midtone like a grey paper or something.
