Oh gosh, this episode lmfao. Also according to IMDB, this episode was originally supposed to be a flashback episode focusing on their mom bonding with Paige, but Finola Hughes who played their mom was not available and so they had to focus on their crazy grams lol .

They could have still made it a young Patty and Paige centric episode. Even if Fiona wasn't available, they could have just said Patty is busy with Prue and asked Penny to help the girls. Plus it would have been nice to have one badass witch fight scene for Patty.

Also, back in s5 when it is fully established that Grams is a man hater, there was an episode about her past relationship with an Necromancer played by Chris Sarandon and they had a full blown love affair that ended because he eventually betrayed her, thus turning her into a man hater.

I'm no fan of "well actually"ing a joke, but I see this confusion a lot: They handwaved a lot, but the idea in Endgame was actually "you can't change the present by changing the past". That is, they can't prevent the snap. The Ancient One talk was that if you do change the past, it will create a new timeline instead, and if that new one doesn't have the stones then it will suck. No explanation for why the future after the stones are returned won't suck yet...

  • @fusionspace175

    @fusionspace175

    5 жыл бұрын

@@SimonBuchanNz First off, I was bending the films logic for a dumb joke. I got what it meant. Second, if the MCU is like the comics then the stones will reform on their own after a time, being universal constants or some such. They're basically dragonballs. They can't truly be destroyed. Also it fits that since they were used to destroy themselves, they're perfectly capable of reforming of their own power. No one ever made the stones, they've just always existed. Also we know at least the soul stone is somewhat sentient, as it was part of giving vision his consciousness. So when they're needed for whatever dark threat awaits, they'll return. But the audience doesn't want to see them again for a while.

Wouldn't the change affect you as well? Chris: My memory isn't affected by changes to history because I'm currently outside of my natural timeline anyway but why can remember the original grandma? Leo: Elders possess prophetic abilities so our minds are magically capable of perceiving multiple timelines at once. I see the new timeline unravel but still retain memories of how things used to be It's just that no one gives a f*ck

21:40 "in the past they don't exist" At other points in the series, they lose their powers when time traveling because their powers are locked under the spell they broke after grandma died, or because their powers are locked up in the bodies of themselves as children. Could it be that it's really the elders taking advantage of the chance to not have to deal with powered Halowells? They constantly say how difficult time travel is, yet the sisters seem to do it every other week. Maybe the Elders give themselves a vacation periodically by stripping the Charmed Ones of their powers and sending them to a random time period.

There's also the Season 7 episode Freaky Phoebe, it's automatically a good episode because Phoebe gets vanquished. Charmed Noir from Season 7 isn't bad either, Phoebe's sexist attitude is annoying though. But it's largely a Paige focused episode. Aside from that though I can't think of anything else aside from maybe a Paige centeric episode, which isn't quite that common. Any good in Charmed is mostly from earlier seasons.

@@openspaces5263 Worst Spells and Potions abused by the late season Charmed Ones? Oh that's easy *Piper using the Vanishing Spell to make the entire Golden Gate Bridge Disappear* This one is self explanatory. Piper does this in retaliation against the Cleaners for taking away Wyatt, even though her careless actions as a mother in not binding his powers caused him to get taken away (for instance Wyatt summoning the dragon that destroyed the city) basically Piper was willing to sacrifice tons of innocents simply out of spite in retaliation toward the Cleaners. It's truly a mark on just how bad Season 6 was as a whole, as the sisters seemed to just do whatever. Its by far one of my most disliked moments in the whole show. *Phoebe Throwing Potions at Sexist rival male advice columnist* Sure Spencer Ricks is a sexist jerk, but Phoebe just virtually assaulted a mortal with a potion that turned him into a turkey and a pig by virtue of distaste she had for the guy. *Phoebe and Paige killing Daryl and taking his soul away* Daryl is suppose to be their friend right? In fact he's the closest friend the Charmed Ones have and is the only non related family member that's family to them. Yet they take his soul without consent, force him to fight for his life in Valhalley against Leo simply to save Piper? They couldn't have just stolen a random demon or criminal's soul? Why did they have to steal Daryl's soul? Especially since it happened right in the middle of Daryl arresting and actual criminal! *The Charmed Ones Endangering Innocents by removing their free will* The Charmed Ones did not even bother to question the ramifications of the consequences by the Avatars leading into every mortal in the city to be slaughter bait by demons virtually taking away free will in the process simply to have their own utopia. Even worse is that they only reverted everything back to normal simply by remembering their own losses. *Piper Turning Journalists/Reporters into Rodents* So in order to get reporters and journalists off their back Piper just decides to turn them into rats and let them wonder around only for god knows what could happen to them simply because they annoyed her. And she does this with absolutely no concern. Even worse is she threatens to blow them up afterwards! *Piper freezes a mortal in a jail cell then attacks her* When Piper gets sent to jail after accidentally taking the identity of someone who was "supposedly" a criminal she freezes the inmate she was trapped with and then assaults her by beat her with a tray. Only to have Paige and Billie solve the situation by orbing her away from her jail cell.

FINALLY! My wish has come true!! Fun fact: I know this season the most because I had a big crush on Chris when I was fifteen and sixteen so I watched the episodes with him in it over and over again because I had a big crush on him. Poor me, I know! XD

So the way the time travel seems to work is that when someone from one timeline goes back into another timeline, they are still tied to their original time; when they return they don't return the instant they left, but a comparable amount of time later. This implies that the presence of the time traveler 'syncs' up the two periods of time so that they run parallel and concurrently so that events appear to happen simultaneously from an outside perspective

This also could explain why the magic Chris used was so difficult to deal with; it seems to have cut him loose from his time completely, thus why he couldn't return as easily as they usually do.

This could further explain why Chris was immune to the time shifting; Leo, as a white lighter/Elder perhaps is also at least resistant to such changes when made through magic of limited power.

As soon as I saw I stopped what I was doing to watch this!! Love these videos. I wonder if when grandma ghost casted a memory spell on herself the side effects were hating men. Maybe a man walked in the room and was concerned about Allen’s death and she just assumes a man killed her first husband thus history corrects itself?

Another great video! 40:38. I don't think grams unbound their powers, she didn't want them to become witches because they weren't ready. Hence why she hid the book in the trunk. I guess they had to read the spell in the pilot to unbind the powers.

Charmed as series that annoys me. As premise it great idea and lover for the supernatural media it interesting. The problem is the execution especially the charms ones in the later session. If we can’t care for the charms one we can’t care for side characters

I have the DVD box with all 8 seasons....please do not judge....I love the Manic Episodes and now the Rewind analysis. This episode sucks, season 6 seemed like a filler season anyway. When you do time travelling, things are not going to make sense, time lines are going to be messed up. Look at the X-Men franchise... PS; isn't origami Japanese?

Wasn't this what the meta commentary in Season 8 about, that the characters had become the baddies in alot of ways? I assumed it was the producers way of commenting on how the actresses behavior had hurt the show, much like was done with The Good Wife (where the lead actress vetoed multiple storylines mid-story and refused to be in scenes with her co-stars. So, the show ends with all the characters openly turning against her character.)

Actually Season 7 seems to actually throw in some self awareness in the case of Piper and Phoebe's character. In the episode "Ordinary Witches" Piper and Phoebe's powers get stolen and transferred into mortals by demons. Then when said mortals run amok with their powers Piper and Phoebe get frozen by the mortal Denise with Piper's Molecular Immobilization power. As stated by earlier episodes of the show good witches are immune to the freezing effect. This is either another continuity error or self awareness that Piper and Phoebe are no longer good witches. I mean both possibilities are just as possible. Another is the Season 7 episode "Freaky Phoebe" which seems to be a huge "take that" at Phoebe. From the demon Imara posing as Phoebe and mimicking her exact traits to the point where the characters tipping point that the demon is posing as Phoebe and fighting demons is out of character for her. And the demon easily blends in by copying Phoebe's self centered nature. The episode also has Phoebe inside Imara's body get vanquish by Piper and Paige. Its by far the best post Season 4 episode just to see Phoebe get vanquished alone. lol
