Grandma Eva Thought No One Could Clean Her Home: The Unbelievable Makeover😳🧽

Hi! I’m Aurikatariina and I clean my followers homes’ for free! Today I was cleaning for this lovely granny who had faces a personal tragedy. She had lost his son and was grieving therefore lost the control over her home. She truly thought that her home would be too dirty for me to clean. She thought she had done permanent damage and that the home was unsalvagable. I felt so bad for her for feeling that way! I tried to assure her that I could totally clean this home sparkling clean. As I was cleaning she was enjoying the lovely summer weather outside. Throughout the day I could just see her eyes light up. She was starting to see her home in it’s former glory. Now the home is full of colour and happiness like it used to be. I hope all the best for this lovely granny! ❤️

It was september when I started visiting unknown granny. First we agreed on going outside with her dog, but then… a noticed very big mess. Everywhere… like I can’t have dirty bathroom and toilet. But this granny does not have enough strength to do that and I decided to do that for her. To make her feel at least little bit better, so she can still enjoy life and simple things. It is April, and I still every Saturday cleaning her apartment and go outside with the dog and with her! This is the best person with who I can enjoy my free day… she teach me how to cook traditional Czech food and always overfooding me🤣thank you Auri to inspire me, I’m with you since you have half million and you still inspire me. Thank you🙏🏼thanks your family for raising such a good human like you♥️thank a lot. Karin

I love this - you and Elisi (grandmother) bring so much joy to each other!! And those little weekly cleaning times and visits make her life easier! I worked for a senior and handicapped agency for awhile in my 30s, and loved visits with one client, who had regular cleaners ... and loved her sheets ironed, but was mostly blind, so she didn't dare do those herself, and the cleaners tended to use too much detergent when washing her delicate things... I loved our visits, and happily ironed and washed some things, or reached down items from high shelves. Alice told me, 'we don't have old friends unless we keep making new ones!'

I feel like the option to have a carer come in one or two times a week to check on your health and assist with household tasks like clearing up should just come standard with retirement/disabilities. Like after my uncle was explaining what his country does for their elderly, it really seems like the bare minimum.

My house used to be like this apartment. I was in a very deep depression combined with a heavy carpal tunnel syndrome which made cleaning extremely painful and nearly impossible for me. When my hands slowly healed, I got back on track. It took me month to tidy and clean my whole house. But I did it. I really like Aurikatariina's videos because I deeply feel with the tenants and home owners. I was there. They will be so happy and feel such a deep relieve after the cleaning!

I’m so much better at cleaning other peoples houses than I am my own. I think in your own home you don’t notice the dirt and clutter as much, as it’s there all the time. When you go into someone else’s home, you notice things that they probably don’t notice either. Plus you feel like it will be appreciated more if you’re doing it for someone else (most of the time 😜) I’m in the middle of trying to declutter my clothes at the moment and omg the mess I’ve made 😩 I have so many clothes that I know I’ll never wear but I’m having a hard time letting them go. Not particularly because I’m that attached to them, but because most have never been worn and I know I paid a lot more than I would get back if I sold them, but that’s life and I need to make that decision to free myself of the clutter 😏

I suppose this is my way of making up for it. The elderly may not seem important to some people but they've been through so much. Oh!!! I just got a sweeper broom with a silicone edge! I'm about to use it on my kitchen! So excited!!! Inspired by Aurikatariina's example: I have several tools that she recommends and I might even USE THEM when I make a bit more progress with my clutter clearing extravaganza. I just can't focus on the kitchen when there are major issues in my bedroom and living area. Those two places are getting SO MUCH BETTER, thanks to Aurii & a few other online angels. Woohoooooooo!

Its so refreshing to see a cleaning with a vacuum! Usually the houses have no vacuum so the couch and the carpets are left like that

I can understand your preference for cleaning other people's houses rather than your own pretty well. I do the same. I'm always cleaning my mother's or my sister's house instead of mine. Maybe because I have company there. It's more fun.

What a wonderful gift for Eva - and so understandable she felt her home would be 'too hard to clean!' One of the tips often given on 'where to start' when it feels overwhelming is just where you do, with the trashes and recycling! (And be sure there's a garbage can in each room, which can be emptied regularly!) So tragic to lose a child 😥

your videos and narration make it easier for me to get to my cleaning and taking care of myself. i only rent a room, very small, but it is overfill with everything that is left after selling house, then moving into successively smaller places. now it's time to give away most of the books, a dresser and cat tree that take up too much floor space, and a lot of clothes, and craft supplies, etc. i was having a hard time letting go, but then i see how you make space and light and air for your clients and i know i want that for myself, so. dresser listed on fb marketplace, same with cat tree. books to the library book sale. clothes to thrift store. etc. etc. and then i will be the happy grandmother! thank you Auri for sharinig your kindness, generosity, methods, and tips.

This one had me thinking, "Oh, this is easy mode for Auri". Some homes really show that the person living there has been in a bad place for a LONG time. This home looks like someone who has had a very hard time for maybe just a month or two. Either way, it's a lifesaver for someone to pick it up for them.

Auri, I think it would be interesting if you described some of the differences between American homes and other countries. For example, the bathroom floor drain in some of Europe. And I’ve noticed the mattresses are so thin in some of Europe and the sheets are not fitted! It would be fun to know the difference. 💗💗💗
