Oh yikes--when will the museum ever fully open?! At least they are in the soft opening stage, with the new Tut Immersive Experience included with all tickets starting late November.
Do they have an official opening date yet?

There is a small exhibition at the original Egyptian Museum, as of the writing of this comment. However, at some point, everything from that exhibition will be moved to the GEM. The original Egyptian museum is still worth a visit for sure, because they have thousands of other artifacts on display, dozens of which are very important and famous pieces to the study of ancient Egypt. Those pieces will never ever be moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum, and they will remain at the original Egyptian museum.
Is King Tut's mask still at the Egyptian museum or has it gone to the GEM?

As of my writing this comment, still at the original Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Not sure when it will be moved over, but I’ll post an update video when we learn the date.
