I think it would have been worth to mention her Arvess hammer as that actually does more dmg than infinite combo loop. after doing a tripple combo loop you use Arvess harmmer to apply arvess fermare and do huge dmg, i have tested and doing 3 combo loops + Arvess hammer, does more dmg than infinite combo loop. even if you keep full arvess fermare uptime with infinite wonders using Arvess hammer does more dmg. but sometimes is safer to do infinite combo loop or also the only way to reach enemies so it depends on the situation. i like to break from the loop combo with arvess hammer when i have spear of arvess ready to get into air inmediatly again.

Pretty much everyone is going for damage cap so the attack buff in my opinion is pointless. I take the supplementary.

Exactly. Every end game build needs supplementary and Dmg cap or else you lose out on damage.

Thank you for this video! (and all the others on granblue relink) Zeta is really cool, I've never played granblue's gatcha game, but I've played a lot to the granblue's versus games (granblue fantasy versus and granblue fantasy versus Rising, and I still play Rising), It's really cool to see most of these characters in an action RPG. I really like Granblue Fantasy Relink, I'm taking my time, I haven't finished the main story yet! Thank you again for all your precious guides as usual.

To optimize her damage you really should use the arvess hammer everytime you have the gap closer skill available (or you see a link attack, or other means of instantly going back up to the loop, coming). Each hammer deals the about same damage as 3 (edit: just tested again an it was 5, so sigil/mastery dependent) loops and has a pretty significant amount of stun (which the loops don't have). When the boss is moving around, getting those 3 extra hits is rarely guaranteed while on the other hand the hammer has some insane tracking system which allows you to hit a boss even if it jumped halfway across the field (so use it also if you see the boss will be moving away). (edit: needs testing, probably best to just hammer as skill is always available) Only place I saw this not be the case is during link time and break where you can reliably loop as much as you want and just finish it off with a hammer when the boss will be active again as they usually either move or do an AoE attack when they recover.

This is almost correct except for the info about link time. You should never loop X more than 3 times unless you need to for positioning or dodging or something. you're losing dps every time you don't hammer after 3 hits regardless.

I didn’t think I’d like Zeta but performing her loop timing is rewarding. Also because you have a gap closer and ranged attack skill it’s very easy to hang back and dip in and out of combat while avoiding aoe damage. Whenever possible I attack from behind as you have many sigils that take advantage of weak points and flanking attacks. It’s easy to take a second to circle around or target that area before using your gap closer again. Her group attack buff will stack with cagliostros phantasmagoria so if she is a staple in your group that is a plus or take Zetas selfish buff.

4 damage cap V’s, 3 supps, war elemental, tyranny and stamina. Is the build for everyone due to the shallow mechanics and way damage cap actually works. This game impressed me a ton until I got to true endgame and maxed a few characters. Realized every character needs to be built the same to actually realize damage potential since support skills are useless by the end

Realms of majesty of very negotiable as I've never saw a need to use it once, especially when Zeta has a built in counter already, and can inflict Arvess fermare with Infinite wonders 😂 Signo drive will also be more or less useless endgame as everyone will already be at the damage cap. Definitely better to take Vengeful flames. Wingclipper is probably without a doubt, Zetas most powerful and useful ability, so to say it will probably never be used is insane lol. It can shut down almost any threat in the game if timed correctly. The power to just completely remove an entire level of danger of done correctly, is invaluable. But hey, do you BB

I love Fextralife but this guide is quite poor. I stopped watching after the skills part because it was wrong in terms of which skills to pick. There is almost no reason to use the Signo Drive and Realm's Majesty skills. Wingclipper and Vengeful flames are both significantly better. I would even say Rain of Fury is a better option as it is quite high in damage. Overall its very disappointing to see this guide from them as it seems to indicate they dont understand Zeta very well and possibly the game as a whole.

Im personally not a fan of infinite wonder and i rather take the supplementary dmg buff 9 times out of ten. Yes it gives you some range option but once u get proficient with doing her loop to get to your enhanced heavy atk that applies her unique debuff i really didnt see the point in taking infinite wonder. Especially since her debuff lasts quite a long time already and its refreshable. Sure your first combo deals less damage but after that you deal SIGNIFICANTLY more by having supplementary damage over a way to apply your debuff from range when its already applied so there's no point to it other than the range, which u already have a gap closer for(and zeta is also pretty decent at tracking the enemies when they are moving while doing her loop as well). Currently i run the gap closer dash, supplementary dmg, wingclipper for the stun to stop an annoying overdrive move from the boss before it bloodlusts, and the last slot i usually take the burn skill because i already have atk buffers in my team. Zetas normal heavy already has a parry mechanic as well so i didnt see the point in taking the parry skill as well unless you need the more generous window.

That's an interesting perspective tbf, but in my opinion infinite wonder is better than wingclipper. It pretty much gives permanent uptime on arvess fermare (and crimson clout) which means you can aim for your damage cap with that taken into account, meaning you have way more flexibility for the rest of your build. Is the paralyze really more valuable than the ability to have more of the other sigils, for example stout heart + steel nerves, improved dodge, etc?

  • @DaiPai1777

@@ChameleonDance my point was moreso that you basically have permanent uptime on avress anyway after your first 3 loop into finisher combo. It only really drops during a phase that the boss is so hard to hit that you'd have issues dealing dps on zeta anyway. You basically lose 5 seconds of enhanced dps from not having your first combo buffed from avress but you make up for it with the supplementary damage+applying the debuff from then on right after. Im not contesting infinite wonder over wingclipper, im contesting it against the supplementary dmg buff. I also noticed even without my atk buff some of my attacks were hitting dmg cap and i am already at lvl64 of it. So getting an atk buff from team mates was already good enough which is why I dropped her own atk buff for the burn. As for why i run wingclipper i just like the CC utility plus it one of the few moves that feels chunky on zeta compared to her quick and nimble attacks so it feels satisfying to land, and the satisfaction stacks on top of each other whenever u prevent the boss from doing a big move with it lol. There are some fights where the dps window is so short that you won't have time to apply the avress debuff with your vanilla combo which is why i say i take supplementary over wonder 9 times out of 10, rather than 10 times outta 10. The instant debuff proc is valuable in those specific instances

I'd like to add that if you snag the supp dmg buff you can reduce the loop to 2 times instead of 3 to initiate the hammer so ultimately more damage

Sorry, I wasn't trying to question your judgement, That makes a lot of sense to me! :) supplementary damage becomes even better in the lategame! I usually run spear of arvess, infinite wonder, supp dmg, and a flex slot: thousand flames for most endgame boss fights, the rain of fury for AoE missions, wingclipper for fights where the interrupts are handy. I'll swap out supplementary damage ability eventually (once I get the supplementary damage sigils). @@DaiPai1777

As usual Fextralife isn't the best guide, here some notes-- [from a Zeta main on Maniac] - You will hit the damage/atk cap FAST. This makes the atk buff less useful than the supplementary dmg buff, as that isn't part of the cap. - Infinite Wonder is good when you are new to her but more of a crutch later. A 3 loop will inflict the debuff and Zeta is so mobile she doesn't need range except on very aerial enemies. - Paralysis is amazing in this game and gives Zeta some well-needed party utility, I'd swap Infinite Wonder for that. - HP is a trap. At Proud or even Maniac difficulty you can be one-shot regardless of HP. Dodging is your friend, as is Zeta's in-built parry and parry skill. Really, getting good at parrying and dodging is key to playing Zeta well (as a Zeta main still mastering it myself) - Zeta's character sigils are vital if you can get them; she actually has two. Crimson Clout as mention, but more importantly Crimson Flight makes doing the loop much easier. - You really want to do 3 loops and then finish, just because it inflicts her debuff and thus you'll do more damage for free. Also, the finisher is powerful and losing the loop to being greedy can be bad. In general, Zeta isn't really that complicated. Biggest thing to learn, imo, is how to do a 3 loop reliably, how to time the parries, and how to dodge effectively. The rest is just gravy.

Just be good without it and you can slot in a damage sigil instead of this useless one. Without her signature you will loop faster = more dps. That sigil is just dogshit and provides nothing good, no damage increase. You actually lose dps by equipping it I don’t even know how people don’t understand simple shit like this

what even is the point of these build videos when you dont have any build what so ever put together. You can build out the crafted ascension weapon but the terminus weapon will beat it out 10 fold due to increasing dmg cap by 100% you dont have you class sigil which is borderline required to play zeta at endgame i mean this is just terrible charcter building. 20% crit from over master 1 crit V sigil and your character mastery tree unlocked and crit weapon mastery with the crit weightstone +10 would give you 100% crit and that doesnt even take any effort to get

I find Spear of Arvess useless, it's just a dash in who do nothing more than this and Zeta already have plenty of mobility, it's not like other character where you have to run after enemy, you are much better taking Wing Clipper. Also Vengeful flame is far better than Signo Drive for Zeta, you are a dps not a support, you lose a lot of damage on Zeta with Signo Drive compared to Vengeful flame, when i tested it i was losing 70k damage with Signo Drive in one rotation (Infinite Wonder + Signo + combo until 3 jump for finisher ) compared to Vengeful flame, that a huge, enormous amount of damage lost on the long run compared to Vengeful flame, damage gap that will not be recovered by the teammate, which make Vengeful flame wayyyy better than Signo. Also i don't understand why no one use the combo enhancing one on Zeta which give a huge amount of damage boost compared to just flat atk, don't get me wrong flat atk is good but it's way better to have sigil with double stat like combo enhancing + flat atk, damage cap + flat atk, crit rate + flat atk, crit dmg + flat atk.

Combo master has the same issue as other ATK buffing sigils. Damage Cap. Regardless of the ATK amping as you combo it is capped at a certain point. From what I recall Granblue Versus story mode had the same stuff. no ATK buffs mattered compared to damage cap.
