The ice spike skill is also useful to stop lethal boss attacks or getting in extra hits before they enter overdrive

It's amazing how much depth and though there is in 1 character. He can be built like 3-4 different ways just from what I've seen in this video.... Very excited to pick this up. Now if I can only figure out if I should get this on PC or on PS5....

PC always. You can adjust graphics and you can get it much cheaper due to keys.

@@beegee4988 the thing is that with either of them I don't even have anything crazy as far as Sigils. Just level up that weapon especially the susanno and his mastery

Lance has been my favorite character so far, even after spending 75 levels with Narmaya.

Maining narmaya atm what about him made you switch? I tried him out and liked him a lot just saving crew cards until I finish the main game (only level 35 atm)

@@Dp_Unkemptharold I just found it easier to apply pressure to bosses with Lance. Narmaya is better at controlling adds, but it's hard to keep her damage loop going while dodging boss mechanics (especially in Maniac+). Lancelot seems easier to manage, plus the damage is quite nice. Narmaya isn't bad at all, I just like Lancelot more.

Stringing chains and butterflies together is fun but lances mid combo dodge and being able to resume the combo and keep pressure up does feel more appealing whereas bosses jsut don’t give you the window to get narmayas chains up fast without having stout heart consistently

@@Dp_Unkemptharold yup, sounds like you're hitting the exact same issues I came up with. Nothing against Narmaya, but Lance is just more consistent all-around.

I've got a fun team with Lancelot, then Vane for Rampart / support, Percival for DPS / buffs, and Cagliostro for heals etc. haven't had any problems yet 😁

For any dps you should always have 65/65 damage cap and then branch out into other stats or you're wasting slots. Combo booster, crit dmg, attk buffs from support characters, everything is wasted if you do not have maxed damage cap. These builds will work early/mid game but as soon as you can farm Damage Cap V that should be your priority. And not recommending their character specific sigils is crazy. The Supplemental Damage sigil is also an amazing one for any fast attacker like this. It just adds a chance to proc another instance of damage so you can push out more dps and bypass the damage cap.

@@terps710 When I tried it, no. But that was before I had the terminus weapon for the additional damage cap / attack power. Ascending his weapon next so I'll give it a shot once he's maxed out again and see if with the bigger numbers it ends up being worth or not! It doesn't seem like it is though.

Loving this game. Too many fun characters to choose from, honestly.

What is your guys’ party set ups? Do you have 1-2 healers? 3 DPS? Balanced as possible? I’d love to hear other people’s opinions on their set ups. Rn I’m running Narmaya / Calgio / Gran / Io . I just finished the story so I plan on switching out Gran & Io, just don’t know who yet

Just about everyone in the game can deal damage, so I only have 2 "pure" damage dealers like Lancelot, one support-focused character like Io, and one tanky character who can draw aggro, like Vane.

Right now I'm running Vane, Percival, Cagliostro, and Ferry. Vane set up to DPS/rampart, I switch Percival's skills depending on the quest difficulty but I mainly run his Traumarei buff and damage skills. Ferry has a mix of support and attack skills and I run Cag with mostly support skills. I really like Siegfried though and I was thinking of using Io since I don't see her as often.

I'm running Lancelot as my main DPS narmaya as a support DPS Cagliostro as healer and ferry as a team buffer and enemy debuffer I never die in a quest even on proud and also never failed

does anybody know why my Y combo finishers arent showing up at all when i do quests and boss fights? it works perfectly fine on the training dummy and its really irritating because hes my main but i almost feel like its a bug or something. i mean the combo finisher never shows up no matter how many times i hit the enemy with my X attack or do a skill thats supposed to chain into a finisher. Thanks in advance if anyone knows

I was having the same problem til I realized you have to be completely stationary to perform his combo

Anyone understand the math on the Cascade Trait? I've been testing with long CDs and they seem to have no effect on my CDs, I'm not high level yet so I was testing with the 0.4% CD, which for a 120s CD skill should grant me about 0.5s CD per hit but over the course of two minutes I only gain about 2-3 seconds, within the margin of error of when I actually start the timer. Definitely not only hitting the boss 6 times over the course of 2 minutes With certain characters like Lancelot and Narmaya where you have many distinct (# of button presses, unlike one button press that hits many times) hits. I expected to get massive value from this but I'm not getting anything at all.

@@GamblingGooner I've done some data collection and it is a huge mess. Unfortunately I cannot import pictures or graphs into the comments section but hopefully this will be useful to someone. Bottom line, every attack, even every finisher, has it's own coefficient on how it interacts with cascade. 2% is the max but there is really no minimum. I did all my testing on Cag at the time because I really wanted 100% uptime on phantasmagoria before I got to the end and realized everyone is damaged cap anyways. Testing was done on Phantasmagoria which as approximately 84-85 seconds CD. Using just normal attacks I can get 19 rotations and drops it to 76 seconds Using the first finisher combo I can get 32 rotations and drops it to 76 seconds Using the second finisher combo I can get 21 rotations and drops it to 73 seconds. etc. This results in Cags attacks refunding. Normal: ~0.12% 1st Finisher: ~0.09% 2nd Finisher: ~0.18% 3rd Finisher: ~0.16% 4th Finisher: ~0.54% None of these values even come close to 2% so I assume 2% might be reserved for link attacks or SBAs, or maybe extremely long charge attacks like Io's stargaze. I did selected a random set of rotations to complete and it was accurate to the second on how it affected the total CD. That being said, it does have a noticeable effect on long CDs but given the low percentage refunds on shorter CDs, along with less time to get those refunds due to less time to hit the boss in that amount of time. You'll be getting 1/4th the effectiveness of a skill that has 1/2 of the cooldown. This is all overshadowed by the many characters that have unique sigils that reduce CD like Cag that actually does reduce the CD by 3%, although it seems like it's actually 1.5% per finisher hit for 3% total for the two hits of the finisher. If reducing a cooldown by 1-2 seconds has rotational implications on a full-uptime fight when you already have quick cooldown then maybe. But I don't see any fight really doing that

You don't have a fully awakened weapon and making a guide.. The skills you suggest are bad. His skills deal more than 500k dmg in end game way more than his X passive, so spamming X is a damage loss. Can you please make a full guide when you max out the character?
