Why even limit anyone to 1? Seems unnecessary; it restricts potential for more possibilities (including more world records).

Hi! I'm one of the folks who did the 34 second clear. We honestly ended up doing speed clears for fun while farming Pyet after we saw the whacky timer stuff and I love the totally different strat in this video compared to our run. The vane bubble during Firefly for DPS uptime is genuis! We tried doing the double ferry SBA for the timer stop in our run but you could tell it.. didn't really work LOL. Clearly, it seems more of a DPS race to 60% if anything. Anyways, this was a great run and was fun to watch!

As a Vasaraga Main I LOVE THIS

I wonder if Vane could be subbed with a Katalina and perfect invincibility usage. I'm not sure on the duration numbers, but Kat's invincibility lasts a long ass time too with the main draw being Kat can attack during that phase as well. It'd be less consistent and way more demanding for the kat but the damage could probably matter and she could bypass the sba gain sigils that Vane might need to catch up to the rest in exchange for more personal damage Amazing video, though. Love me some content starring Io- hate how much people sleep on her relatively speaking

Crazy I'm surprised Lancelot wasn't used. I wonder if that weird rosetta strat could work with like 1 eugen 2 rosettas (or vice versa I haven't done the math yet but I think with 3 this is the best lineup) and the Io

Here I was expecting over 4 minutes of explanation about the 30 second run when it is actually that the game just decided to hand you extra time. That's impressive, though. Especially hearing that the other strategies are so much slower

Interesting that vaseraga is also crucial to an IL speedrun just like he is to an ng speedrun lmao Is there any particular reason you don't dodge out of the two light attacks at the start of your combo most of the time? I'm assuming SBA gen?

because it doesn't matter, the timings are kinda static in the fight so you may as well get the two extra normals worth of damage LOL

i had a hard time the first clear too. Dont try and power your way through. Get a good tank char, i used Vane. Load them up with guard, HP, potion hoarder, and resistance for the frost and wind. Chip them down slowy and worry about surviving, same geos the galla and mag. Come back after your have terminus weps and max sigils then make them pay.

The Gallanza + maglielle fight is the hardest in the game, don't worry about it too much

@@plastikloser I did it opposite. I cleared it as quickly as possible using Percival Eugen Rackam and Rose. Rose is good as NPC before you can farm terminius weapons, supplementary damage and damge cap V+. I only unlocked percival because I don't want terminus weapon drop to vary too much.

I don't remember Sena Ouroboros having Mondo...

You would have gotten the Lunary Cell if you did it in 29 seconds

30 seconds is pretty much normal if you reach endgame with maxed sigils and terminus.

Timer freeze is an actual mechanic throughout the game and you're actively rewarded for finishing quests as quickly as possible according to the in-game time. Should the leaderboards be scored based on RTA because of this? probably. Does that make runs that abuse the mechanic illegitimate? Not unless they switch to RTA, and even then they would just potentially be slower than runs that would optimize around RTA, and the old leaderboard should at least be preserved in an archive or depreciated category if that does happen. Even with this method of scoring it's still a speedrun, it's just that the in-game numbers aren't actually representative of the real amount of time it took.
