This is kinda random but the license tests in GT7 have a real day-night cycle if you keep trying for that long - Someone who spent 3 hours on a license test in one sitting and saw a full sunset in-game. Doing the license test at night was kinda cool despite not being able to see shit

And ABS Default is by far the biggest assist in the game which basically follows the traction circle for you without any modulation or moderation required under heavy braking with any steering introduced. It would be significantly harder to get near this time without ABS, or even on ABS Weak. SGT just mashes the brake to the floor every big braking zone, and even in ABS Weak that’ll ruin your day by extending your braking distance and removing any chance of tipping the car in. ABS Default is easy mode braking.

@@EeekiE ABS default basically just has what the cars have IRL. There's no point in taking ABS off on a car that does have ABS. Just like GT3 cars have traction control and ABS. You can't drive without it, and it's dumb to not apply something the actual cars have IRL

At lateral 5g's you'd have an insanely hard time keeping your neck level and without training your head will just flop around after a corner or two. Lateral g's dont force the blood down from your brain like vertigal g's do, that's the reason why you black out in a centrifuge/fighter jet but not in a racing car.

S-10 is a "double shifter", when you accelerate from low speeds you go 2nd gear -> double shift to 4th (if you go off the throttle while shifting it will work) -> 4th gear for better acceleration. It is also faster from 3rd -> 5th. A little extra tenth each straight to help you if you strugle.

The key to S-10 is both higher gears than you think and also short shifting. Third gear in the hard corners, fourth gear in the medium corners and 5,6 on the straights. This also makes it easier to drive because less gear shifts. and shift up when the revs are at about 60-70%. Once I started doing this I got gold pretty quickly

For anyone struggling with the last test on controller, map x and square buttons to MFD adjustment up and down and have the MFD set to TC. When exiting a turn that follows a little bit of a straight or a longer straight drop TC 1 to 0 as you have the car pointing straightish and this will be faster than TC1, even if its a bit awkward and you find yourself sliding a little. And when you're approaching a corner toggle TC 0 back to 1 to see you through the corner and so on. Turns to toggle TC 1 to 0 are: 2, 7, 9, 11, 14 and 17. Also when starting the lap, have TC 0 at turn 17 and try aiming to cross the start line at 154mph when starting the lap. This isn't an easy test for controller users but it is possible. Good luck! 👍

Love your videos and content. I've seen you have been using mostly, if not always, the mclaren wheel for GT7, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your button mapping and setup for it?

22:30 In T3 I'd recommend going for a very late apex, therefore you can brake slightly later and have a better run to T4. coast in 2nd gear towards the apex and exit in 3rd gear with just enough throttle. when the car is straight and steady, put it in 4th gear and floor it out of the corner.

This will sound wrong, but steer slower. You’re faster when you’re smoother. If you’re not making it, you’re overdriving it. Look further down the road and the eyes will tell the hands what to do.

use your personal best ghost to see where you can improve, try approaching the corners in a different way and see if it is faster than your ghost, it always works for me.

the civic type R has so much understeer because it FWD. Not only does the front two tires have to take car of turning but it also has to deal with accelerating or braking. With RWD the front two tires can focus on turning only on exit and the rear can accelerate, it also allows for oversteer on power instead of understeer.

2 -3 licenses are a big challenging with the control pad but overall not that complicated to get gold everywhere. I remember some gold licenses in GT1 were ''almost impossible''...had to spend days with friends to get them.

The thing with S-3 is that the wheels were too thin to compensate for weight distribution, so if and when the driver would try to take a good turn at a considerably quick speed, or go over a bump while trying to turn, the chance of a rollover would just skyrocket LOL

Ironically, I found these easier to do with controller with X for gas and square for brake. I feel like the game gives you some hidden assists using that setting. Beat the gold times by a miles except for S-10, which I still struggled with for a while even with this setup
