Fun fact: I spent an entire day failing to fix a game breaking issue with the game where it just wouldn’t load past the intro sequence. Turns out I was using a corrupted ROM, so I had to completely reinstall the game.

GT4 was peak! Although the JP version of the intro features the actual ORIGINAL anthem of GT (Moon over the castle). GT4 also had the hardest difficulty and most content. Physics were vey understeery but many mods are fixing this issue.

@@Citroen_Csara everything xd. the cars are unresponsive, some feel weightless (project cars 1 also had that issue), the mad pushing understeer, and so on. a guy actually made a sweet video about it you can go check it out if u want to. imo gt2 and 1 had better physics than 3 and 4. and im saying this as gran turismo 3 was the first videogame i remember playing ever

@@akioasakura3624I’ve found playing GT4 with a wheel really improves it. I use a Logitech G27 - an older PS3 era wheel that can be gotten cheap nowadays, it’s perfectly backwards compatible with the PS2 though, and it makes the handling in GT4 feel much more responsive (and realistic) than using a controller.

pro tip: there’s shiton of retexture mods

GT7 actually isn’t a better game. Sure it has better graphics, and more realistic physics, but the gameplay is really poor in comparison to GT4. You can have all the realism in the world, but if it’s simply not as fun a game to play, that doesn’t matter one bit. The thing is, GT7 could so easily be fixed to make it much better, a few small changes are all it needs to become the greatest driving game ever by far, but the devs are deliberately, and bafflingly, choosing to not do that. So I’ll continue to enjoy GT4, 20 years after release. I wonder if people will still be playing GT7 in 20 years? If they’re even able to, will anybody want to?

Yeah when I said “GT7 will be the better game” I was referencing the graphics, physics etc, GT4 ofc has far better gameplay stuff
