I've been so nervous to vlog about grad school since it's summer as well as im "only" a ma student getting a head start on thesis stuff and not a phd student yet, but ive watched a few of your vlogs and im feeling more confident now! ~ 🖤

I took your advice from a previous video and started reading a book for fun. I have my reading list for next semester and I really have to fight the temptation to start reading ahead. I think inserting some fun reading is a really good way to break up the stress. Edit: I am thinking about a bike as well! The building I will be a GA in is on the other side of campus from my classes. The prices on the new ones are so high! I'll have to check out yard sales

Reading for fun has literally changed my relationship with reading! (for the better!) And I got so lucky with this bike, but I feel like I also see some cheaper ones on Facebook marketplace a lot!

Really happy I found your channel! Finally a PhD student in a field similar to mine. As in, I've actually heard of the conferences you're submitting to. :')

@@SarahFischerVlogs Actually I'm mostly doing research into the L2 writing process and online translation tools. But I've heard about CCCC, for example!

ok 1) what is that pasta recipe?! and 2) my therapist has suggested workflowy for note-taking, thinking, writing etc. It's organized through hashtags and I've been trying it out...I like that I can have it on both my phone and laptop should I have a random thought while I'm not at my computer that I want to jot down!
