Time is not the problem... you can easily make time ... a lot of times the limiting factor is energy.

Energy is not problem, it is something we can increase gradually. Main point is your intention. If you have clarity and intention set right you grow.

@@rahulsngh337 I disagree. The day always has 24 h for everybody. But the amount of energy is so different from person to person. And the amount of energy a task needs is also different. If there is a lot of uncertainty or mentally draining things happen... the energy required to do a seemingly simple task like making your bed can be so hard.

Man I agree you, what my point here is targeting the priority things… if you have intention right to understand and have clarity of priorities you won’t have to deal with energy issue. Simple action item here is, if you are clear with your priorities don’t waste time on those things which consumes your time be honest with this. Then you will have time and energy both for which you have priority.

Summary: 1. Audit your time How many hours a week do you spend on essential things (working, eating, sleeping). Subtract that from 168 to see how many free hours you have. 2. Figure out your goal What are you working towards? What do you need those free hours for? 3. Cut out the noise and identify essentials See if you're spending a lot of time doing vague/middle ground activities. Figure out what core activities you need to do to achieve your goal and start allotting time towards them. 4. Structure your day Based on task priority, task difficulty, and your natural energy levels. Try to do the highest priority task first (usually also the most difficult and the one you're most resistant to). 5. Use your weekends Treat your weekends like a workday for yourself. Use them to achieve your goals. This doesn't mean not giving yourself some down time to relax. 6. Make your job work for you View your full time job as a way to train your time management and productivity skills. Try to get a remote job to save time on commute.

disagree. if you have money, you offload tasks like taking care of kids, cooking, cleaning, etc to other people so you actually end up having way more time when you start making money relative to the poors who might be working two full time jobs to survive.

Say it LOUDER for the people in the back. I have the same amount of children that you…but what are their ages🤔 My husband works too…but what time does he get off/how often is he home🤔🤔 I work fulltime too…but what company do you work for/what’s your job title/what’s your responsibilities🤔🤔🤔 I’ve recently learned in past year or so how many family and friends have a maid/cleaning crew…that was news to me. But I digress. Sometimes the way one’s life is setup certain things are harder as compared to others and yes certain things are impossible.

No kids, no parents that need care, maybe no pets? and a partner to split chores with, domestic help if you can have it, living in an area that has a variety of shops and ample opening hours that make grocery shopping faster can make a huge difference. Lots of things can make the 24 hours not the same for everyone.

Agree with all the replies here. Taking care of a disabled family member or being disabled yourself, living in a food desert, not having a reliable mode of transportation, being in an unsafe living situation.... We may all have 24 hours in a day, but how much of it you can allocate to things beyond simple survival is variable. I think that can be a hard pill for many folks to swallow.

I want to upskill myself for a better job in some European country where they respect work life balance. And then I will be living my 2 dreams in parallel - 1. to have a lovely job and life balance. 2. Use that balance to do things that bring meaning to my life, not necessarily monetary but meaningful life.

This is not that easy for people working in brain-intensive jobs like core software engineering. One of the hallmarks of the tasks we work on in a senior software engineer role is the system design (especially architecture and algorihm design). It is an extremely brain-intensive task (unless it's a fresh graduate level "make an app in 7 days" kind of generic app development found on KZread). So, after work, keeping the brain *that* active even after work makes coming up with solutions way difficult (and inefficient) the next day. It is almost impossible to focus if the brain doesn't rest (not just sleep).

I think the first step is to realize that you have more control over your life and wellbeing than you may believe. What small steps can you realistically achieve each and every day? Can you carve out 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 5 minutes, or even 1 minute to work on something you want? 1 minute of planning is better than 0 and it will build up from there. Is there a way you can downsize your income and be happy or make more time for yourself? CEOs and content creators work so many hours because they truly want to -- and for many reasons. They make their lives work for them instead of working for their lives. Squeezing out time and efficiency is all part of the hustle.

And thus he suggested doing your important things in the morning. BEFORE work. If you think that’s too little time, mind you there’s nothing stopping you from waking up at 5 or at 4. And no, you actually don’t need your full capacity to do your day job, even if it’s intense. You shouldn’t rather. Quality time should be first and foremost for yourself. Not some random job.

This is so good and spot on! I work remote and for a while always wanted to rest or splurge after work. Lately I’ve been learning to balance my art business, making time to paint again and film weddings on the side. I learned a while ago that even with more time I wouldn’t act right 😂 so it’s best to practice management and get those 2-4 hours in everyday vs trying to force it into 8, only to get distracted.

These are solid recommendations! Thank you so much for this video Miles :) As someone with a 9-5 trying to juggle the social media side, I could relate to what you said in the video and it's impressive how just being consistent has such an impact on your mental health and life overall. I found myself being just proud for being consistent with uploads on diff. platforms or just sticking to my schedule. Definitely a confidence boost. What also worked for me beside the trusty pen and paper, was moving everything to digital (google calendar or apple calendar) and color blocking my "ideal week" with the tasks I wanted to implement. Even the act of doing it and visually seeing how much space things can take up in a week or in a month, can help thinking about it as not just a vision but something more tangible that we need to work on and adjust according to the outcome we are looking for. Highly recommended!

In my opinion, it helps to allot a time after work to decompress: eat a little something, maybe while watching youtube, a few minutes of exercise while listening to some high energy music, maybe taking a short shower, after that a short 20-30 minute nap, after all of that, you should get up rested, with a clear mind and with the energy to get doing something, 1 hour and half to 2 hours, depending on your commute, i'd try to get the snack ready and any workout equipment the night before, so you don't see it as a chore to get them ready after work, Maybe use your commute to listen to a podcast, or audiobook to get your mind off of work things, Then set up an alarm for getting things ready for tomorrow and getting ready for bed. Finally, watchout for time/energy leaches, even if they're people you love, might have to limit or put some distance between you and them,

I can probably count on one hand the number of times in a year that I wake up with full energy ready to tackle the day. I appreciate the sentiment of eat the frog first thing, but for people who are night owls, it's better to start off small and manageable to get the momentum going in the morning, rather than trying to overcome a big hurdle when your energy is at it's lowest first thing in the morning.

May I ask what your full-time job is? I don't need a specific title, but I was just curious! Something like "programmer," "doctor," or "Accountant." It would mean a lot, I became super curious as I was watching. Awesome and super high quality video. Earned a sub!

You don’t have to burn yourself out. It’s important to give yourself time to relax and celebrate your wins. What he’s focusing on is how to better utilize time that you waste watching an hour of tiktok everyday. Cut that down to half an hour and you have an hour a day to learn a new skill that you always wanted to learn but never did

@@ASHStudios That’s like saying: do dru-gs only in the weekends because it’s not gonna ki-ll you. You do you boo, not everyone wants to do that to their body. Do you want to relax? Read a book, do exercise and have a sport. Scrolling on TikTok is not healthy or a way to relax, is the opposite, it gives BAD dopamine to your brain

Good tips and content, but there is nothing wrong with people who choose to stay at the same job and do the same thing. This whole narrative of knocking it out of the park at everything in your life is a choice. Some people choose NOT to have it all. And that is OK. There is dignity in doing the same thing over and over again and developing the expertise and the craftsmanship of singular dedicated focus to chase excellence at ONE thing. Jiro Ono did one thing for most of his life - made Sushi. Nelson Mandela dedicated 27 years of his life to prison, with the same routine everyday, to chase one ideal - freedom. Someone could just be focussing on being a great parent, or a care giver, and being excellent at it. So this underlying tone of treating the not-so-exciting-ordinary-life with a sense of derogation is something that needs to change in the mainstream media.

This is true. We will need people to cook for us, wash our car, cut our grass, clean our houses etc.. if everyone was leveling up.. no one would be doing these jobs.
