Hi WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD GIVE A FULL VIDEO WITH DETAILS ON HOW YOUR PLANNER WORKS. Are the tabs around the planner just for decoration or do they really work? Also would like know more about the apps you use? Your planner looks really great.

Thank you so much! Yes, I am working on the Planner Video this week and hope to have it up for Sunday. I will cover my favorite apps and some tips as well. Yes, All of the tabs take you directly to the assigned section of the planner. There is also icon that directly links to an online folder for updates and add-on items.

When I returned to school in May 2016 to begin my Master's degree, I will admit it was a tiny bit overwhelming, especially with the courses being online. I was thankful to Jesus for my advisor, counselors, and amazing professor's for their support. In October of this year, it will be a year since I finished my Master's degree in Elementary Education and I do not regret it for a second! 😀 You can and will do this; I have faith in you. Remember Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me) and Mark 1:37 (With God, all things are possible). You are a fantastic teacher who has taught me how to be the teacher I want to be for my students, stay organized in the classroom, and stay up to date with the latest trends in the classroom! 😀 By the way, your first podcast was AMAZING! 😀 I am so inspired by you and your teacher partner. It was great to hear you bouncing ideas off each other. Thank you so much! 😀 #Yougotthis #blessed #balance #staystrong #presson #teachersrock

People think it is easier to do a degree online, but actually it requires dedication and organization, but it is not impossible. I know by experience (got my Master on Library Science online). YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Adding study to your life, when you're already working and mothering and wife-ing is an enormous load. I did my undergrad degree via online delivery. It was so overwhelming to begin with. And then the first 2 weeks of every semester was another adjustment. But in the end, it was perfect for me, because I could fit it in small snatches around all the other moving parts of my life. But it was crazy and hard and totally maniacal. It's not forever. My advice would be: allow yourself time to adjust, and be willing to reduce your study load if you need to. You may also need to think about adjusting your hours at work a little too.

Hi Bridget, yes it is difficult to work and do your own school work, when I did my master's I to was a full time teacher, daughter to a parent that I was parenting, but I got through it. The wa y you did your assignment was more then ok. I too have to do my work visually, it always comes out better, and I'm pretty sure your professor will appreciate it as well. Just keep on keeping on and all will go well. Peace and Blessings, Raquel 🤗🌹🐱

i went back to school this year while teaching full time and it's insane how difficult getting into the swing of online courses was for me! i wasn't sure if it was the switch from face-to-face classes or just being out of practice of being a student, but man. i felt SO DRAINED after each "class." it does get easier as the semester goes on; i started reading my stuff aloud to my dogs, too. they couldn't reply back, but it gave me an excuse to talk through things without feeling totally silly talking to myself.

Preach it! The most difficult part of studying is managing the reading. I find that the more simple I keep it, the more effective it is. Don't spend hours on it and try summarise each section into around 7 bullet points. Less is more. Studying is rough at first but you'll soon work yourself into a routine :) Just had an idea - if you like talking through the reading, maybe you could reflect on the key points in a live stream or in the vlog? That way you'll be talking to teachers. Loved the podcast btw! Couldn't work out how to message you!

If I can offer a little advice - it is natural to get extremely stressed out when you look at your syllabus and see all of the projects and assignments you're going to have to do for the whole class at once. It's overwhelming. Ignore that feeling. You have months to do all of that work, and I promise it will feel easier when you focus on it day-by-day or week-by-week. Get organized (put all the assignments/readings into your planner), then completely forget the syllabus for now. You are organized, smart, and motivated. You can DEFINITELY do this, and you have nothing to feel embarrassed or worried about. I'm getting my EdS degree online right now, and I find that it's not that much different from my past in-class experiences. If you're not getting something, though, you have to be more proactive about reaching out to your professor or classmates to get help. Your infographic was amazing, but if it isn't an assignment that's worth a lot of points, you're going to burn out if you do that for every single task. My advice is - if you have readings to do, closely read the abstract (to get the gist), then read through the rest of the article without stopping or letting that "lost" feeling stop you. When you get all the way through, if you still don't get it, read it again or ask for help. But a lot of times, we start to read, don't get one paragraph, and then get stuck in a loop trying to understand it while feeling frustrated. Just keep moving forward. They're looking for big picture ideas! Then for your discussion board posts, keep it simple. Write 1-2 paragraphs for each question you have to answer (or whatever the rubric says). If infographics are easier for you, go ahead, but I bet no one else did one because they take SO much longer than writing.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful response! 😊. I think that I am starting to find my groove after the first few assignments. And you are absolutely correct, you must be proactive in gathering information and clarifying questions. Great tips! Have a good one.

Yes grad school team! My suggestion, skim the readings and just answer the discussion question. Meaning read to find the answer. You can always go back and read the articles and books for leisure. Honeslty, don't stress the readings lol. I'm in the same boat with you! You got it! 🙌🏾🎓

Congratulations on starting grad school! Would you be open to doing a video talking through your decision for grad school? How you chose a program, how you knew it was time to go back, some goals you have with your degree etc.? Totally fine if you do not have time I was just interested (I feel like education content versus administrative tracks are very different and I was curious if you had an opinion). Fantastic video:)

A lot of it is based on hosting, desired quality [recording device/microphone(s)] and licensed material in an attempt to provide a quality experience. However, for a classroom, I might just record on my iPhone using the headset that comes with it. If you want it on iTunes you will need to pay a monthly fee with a host ($10-15), otherwise you could just record and distribute as an MP3 or WAV...which is what I would lean towards.
