Gov't unveils new-look number plates
All motor vehicle owners will now be required to replace their vehicle number plates with the new generation ones. The new plates have enhanced security features to curb theft and fraud and their issuance begins Thursday. And as Hassan Mugambi reports, it will cost you Ksh. 3,000 to migrate to the new plates.

Current plates cost 4k? 3k is reasonable and if you're fined then that's on the car owner.

Stealing is one of the issue but they not only resell they cut it into pieces and sell the spare parts how about that??? Would you be able to recover the vehicle???
Every county should have its own plates, examples for Mombasa ( MO 33886) (NB 4785) plates should be individuals like here in Europe,the rest in just waste of time
