Gothic 3 will make your switch burn. The Parallel Universe patch would help if they can add it. But there are still stutters here and there. The Genome engine was bugged from the start. They would fix something and something would break. over and over again. The Community patch is 1.5 gb in size. That should say alot. A patch that size back then was unheard of. You want to play something that has voice acting as bad as Two Worlds? Try Forsaken Gods with Enhanced Edition patch. Its A stripped down Gothic 3. Gothic fans dont mention Arcania and Forsaken Gods. Its taboo. LOL

The game would be best played with keyboard and mouse, with the Switch enhancements. Or A game pad. There is A mod for the original games which sorts items in your inventory into categories. You can also use a gamepad on the old games too. I used a Nyco Airflow non=xbox, PS dual analog pad. Works perfect. Not sure if xbox or PS pads will work. Cuz the analog shoulder buttons. Digital shoulder buttons only.

Lets see how the first one is received. They will make that decision after. Did you see the 2 trailers for the remake? Looks awsome and German like it should. They will probably remove the "raised fist" gesture though. Alot of people say it looks like H**L H**LER. but not quite, in my opinion. Sorry to people who are offended by that. But its A fact. Alot of people think that.

@@ItsameAlexreally nice.sometimes it throws you od the game with error or at the end of game i saw in fight frame drops but it was dream to me to play this in your pocket.also garphics are better than original because they put light effect for shadows

I don't think Gothic 3 will be considered as canon. Gothic fans enjoyed 1'st and 2'nd game but 3'rd one is considered as bad. It is basically a Bethesda game but with Gothic title which stands in opposition to every Gothic design principle that made people love previous games in the first place.

You can do that with the Steam pc version. I'm really surprised they did not do that. Then again why would you want to play without it? It is integrated perfectly. Yeah, it does make the game harder though. The Steam version only costs $9.99 US. Was $2.49 US 2 days ago. Then you can make it look more modern with mods. Yes, you can use a game pad too. I used a standard 2-stick game pad with it. (A setting in the "gothic,ini" called "enableJoystick=0" change to =1) Not sure about PS5 or Xbox controllers. The triggers may not work. eg. pressure sensing. Maybe they will patch it so you can choose. Then you can get Chronicles of Myrtana : Archolos. (Free from Steam) It's crazy A mod team made A mod this big and awesome for A 20 year old game. You have to play with subtitles but they are not too fast, so you have time to read. But it's worth it.

I love Gothic II. 🏘🏞🏜 A classic. Great expansion on the first one. Even more so with the Night of the Raven. This brings much nostalgia. 🖤

The Switch port of the first game was done by Alkimia Interactive, not Piranha Bytes themselves. It will likely be the case for this port as well. Just thought people should be aware, since this fact is not communicated at all on marketing material.

THQ Nordic should be blocked. Because they support Russia against national security. THQ Nordic are criminals on so many levels. We have to report their staff so they can all be put in prison. On the other hand, this is military service decomposition in Russia, because these Russians like TMoor etc. belong at the front.@@john_nah

Jowood got the BOOT. HA. It's there fault G3 failed. rush, rush, rush. Boy that game was a mess out of the box. Even with PB's only patch. Still love G3 Enhanced Edition though. Best looking game out of the 3. Also 3 has the best soundtrack.

That's what i loved about the first game. Getting around the bugs and glitches is a challenge. I know all 3 games inside and out so i know how to get around them. eg. the buggy winch, Gorn bugging out saying you killed his friends etc. The good thing is the game will be patched to stomp out all remaining bugs. I think they already patched the goblin bug in G1 Classic. Never seen that bug in the pc version.

There is no point in making remaster. Mods literally exist. If you don't want a new game just install some of them and enjoy. Noone is taking that away from you. These classics still exist. Remake is the only sensical choice and I'm writing this as a massive fan of the first 2 Gothic games.

If anything is cancer it is making remasters of game without adding or changing anything to earn money for basically the same game. There are multiple guides for installing the mods on the internet because Gothic community is really helpful. Making new vision of old thing is much better of a choice since now you might have 2 games that are valuable experiences in their own way. And again, noone is taking the original game away from you. If it fails it fails (still have the original) but if we'll be so afraid of moving on to the new visions we'll awake in the reality where all the creativity in gaming is dead cuz "everything needs to be 1:1 as 20 years ago".

It turns out that exactly the thing thay you want which is Gothic on Unreal Engine is being made by fans. There is really no neeed nor point in making 1:1 the same game by devs these days, only with better graphics. Especially when it comes to the games with such passionate community as Gothic.
