Sounds like with Red Hood they wanted the playstyle to be where you gun in, closing the gap and then finishing off via brawling.

His melee is weak AF, his power is in his range. Trying to play Red Hood by brawling is just making your life difficult.

@@avalineriley6809 His melee isn't really all that fun to play, compared to playing the others, which is really strange because he has all those grapple perks. but also strangely, his grapples are extremely boring lmao. I really enjoy him despite that, but man, I feel like I got shafted

@@VoidEternal Yea I wanna play him cause he easily has the most fun traversal ability, but damn they were slacking hard on his combat design. Zero grapple variety, no combo chain on his melee. Gun play is just not for me unfortunately.

I’m playing all four. But since I’m planning to play a lot of co-op, Nightwing will be my main at the start.

@@ae86hachi Same here man. It’s got flaws, oh yes, but it shines in a LOT of ways.

Red hood with concussive rounds, and the explosive through ability is just super fun. It’s affective against every enemy type except the League (you can’t grab them.) Stun them with ranged attacks, grab a guy, stick a bomb to him, detonate it, and the bomb (and 6 other bombs if you have the upgrade) deals more concussive damage, setting up another bomb.

I actually had quite a bit of fun with that in an Owl's nest once. Grabbed a couple of Court Members and cluster bombed him so every Talon and great Talon that walked in the room from then on couldn't move without setting off a big old boom.

Batgirl and Noghtwing do feel the best but batgirl has a skill tree upgrade that gives her invulnerability while using her beat down abilty. Reminds me of the Arkham games

A lot of people playing the game are saying that Nightwing and Batgirl feel the smoothest to them. Everyone has said Robin feels the worst. Red Hood seems divisive.

Robins Elemtal build is so good especially if you focus on applying with ranged attacks. If you use the righty element on certain enemies you can end up applying 2 different elements with the microbots and ranged. Love status effect builds

Robin combination of stealth and his weapon looks the best to me.

I came to say play whoever you want. It’s all about how you build, knowing elemental weakness is a thing, learning how to time attack while chaining your momentum abilities in your combos.

Doesn’t really matter who you pick, you can play each character whenever and when one levels up they all do.

I think they gave Batgirl the back from the dead because of the way she recovered from her spinal injury which should have been permenant short of some insane reverse engineered alien medical technology. Its also heavily implied throughout that whatever miracle gave her her legs back it wasn't as complete as the n52 or Injustice one and she still has serious health issues (which explains why she needs the tonfa when before she just hit pressure points really hard)

Im not in a hurry. Robin is my main, then nightwing, and I'll try Redhood and Batgirl last. I will eventually play them all

I think it’s irrelevant to say which character is the best rn because we have no idea what endgame activities are yet and who would be best played for them

I am currently playing endgame atm so my opinion is based on that factor

I was thinking about using red hood. But I might use robin because he is stealthy and the teleportation is OP

I enjoy playing as Redhood the most. Especially for the boss fights, being able to do the most damage from a distance helps, especially when paired with the right elemental effect. If you play co-op, teaming up with Robin is sooo OP. Robin does the heavy elemental damage up close and Redhood mows them down at a distance, rinse and repeat.

Unfortunately, Red Hood fits the most into the story. At least Robin IS the best for stealth, just with Batgirl coming in second due to her ability to hack turrets and enemy drone dispatchers. Your Nightwing-is-best-for-momentum argument has me sold, though.

I chose Nightwing because I loved how bouncy he was. His agility and movements remind me of Spider-Man in the best way. Made it fun to jump around and on enemies

Good comparison

I unlocked the knighthood on everyone then I focused in on Knightwing, mostly because I just like him the best from the Batman universe. Feel like he has the best origin and character arc. Only bad thing about Knightwing is his ultimate is lackluster and so is his "special" momentum ability compared to all other characters. Everything else though he's great, builds momentum very fast and has some great abilities. Honestly they did a really good job with all the characters, they really do have very distinctive combat identities. They all feel different to play but they're all fun in their way and their strengths are actually well done. Like with Robin being good at stealth, that is a tangible benefit that you miss. Red Hood's power translated into being able to toss around the larger enemies and AoE small groups at will was very satisfying.

Batgirl is best to plow through the story due to her Health Abilites . Nightwing is the best for Momentum Meter build up and Ability Spam... and easiest traversal

Maining Batgirl but might try incorporating night wing in there as a secondary

Im.planning to play the game 4 tinrs each playing just one character, the unique dialogues are too cool to miss.

Nightwing was a easy choice he’s literally the reason I bought the game

It's funny you did this video cause I exactly picked nightwing 1st and experimented with the other characters 2nd when the game came out and just saw this video and your right nightwing gets experience fast also Robin is good to for racking up experience fast

I'm playing Robin and I stealth at first then I use the elements build up to destroy groups of enemies but I only use stealth when I get bored is so much fun to play as

I main robin and red hood reasons why: robin is a stealth and sometimes I don’t just go in and fight I usually sneak but if I’m feeling like I have to really fight I’m bringing red hood his gums and his attack power is insane

Idk I like red hood the most but night wing has a cheap freeze ability with his darts that's super op

Robin is op the stick pellets and elemental decoy plus his spin attack applies elemental he has super damage output he's my second fav after red hood , but I'm switching characters every knight

I highly advise ANYONE Who DOESN’T own the game get it for yourself Do NOT listen to any review that says Gotham Knights is bad. its an amazing game and watching ppl play doesn’t give it the praise it deserves yes it has a few annoying bugs however 9/10 until they fix the Dayyum multiplayer net code TRUST you wont regret it. And ALL the classes are amazing and have their own gameplay style to make the completely different from the others and they all have unique ways to complete or support in crimes

Recently I have been unable to build momentum with redhood. Other characters work better. And then other times I don't have enough momentum to use some abilities so I can just use the bottom moves but not the top ones.

I started a nightwing main then switched to red hood. Red hood hits hard

Robin isn’t so bad But I do like red hood a lot. Them guns been firing off lol

iv been playing all 4 main batgirl/red hood all are good but play different iv enjoyed it wish for more bosses

Bat girl is the best you basically can be a tank and deal massive damage. You can’t beat that and you’re also quick. And plus you have two lives. you’re literally fighting a demon. lol I wish they had PVE I’ll whoop all y’all with bat girl I also love Robin his fighting animations is out of this world he fights like a Jedi

all of the knights are amazing in the endgame. For me i don't like how stiff batgirl's combat is and how slow she feels maybe im doing something wrong. I like red hood better for now.

Playing Red Hood from the start is the most fun tho plus it's more of a challenge. It keeps you from being impatient and time your attacks, build up momentum and then strike. And who tf is Redwing?

While me maining all and reach lvl 30 solo before blackgate blues

I’m still going to main Robin because the play style they have showcased and the fact they have emphasized Robin is more of a stealth focused character. I would main red hood because he’s favorite out of the entire batfamily but I don’t like how he’s implemented in Gotham knights. Robin’s teleportation isn’t really favorite either, I hope you’re able to speed how fast you can move while in teleportation.

I came in thinking I would main red hood or nightwing but after leveling up every single character and unlocking all power moves robin is easily the best and most OP he wasn't the easiest to start out with but became the easiest to play as fully upgraded, nightwing and Batgirl are just average to me

Or just play with whichever you think is fun? I find red hood is super easy to plow through mobs n bosses with but that’s just my take this is all subjective the games not that deep enough for something like this

Robin EZ pick and it dont matter to me how fast i level up i wanna enjoy the game not speed run it.

I like robin weapon more than all of them, I wish they had his new 52 suit on here, he got the best suit out of the whole bat family,

I dont mind, Main-ing Red Hood 1st. He's just been the character, I've wanted to get my hands on. Even tho I'm more of a Robin type of person

Every char is great and brings a unice playstyle its really nice

Wait are you saying it’s confirmed that we are getting 4 player co-op even for console? Even if they might focus more on performance first

It's all good you level one up they level up together

Batgirl is the most overpowered in the game and it’s a clear pick for anything competitive modes in future

@@zep2639 Each one of my characters basically one hits every enemy, its all about elemental damage and pairing the best mods, also knowing each factions elemental weakness. Red Hood and Nightwing’s abilities are kinda trash tbh but they are all pretty much even no matter what the developers say, its the special abilities and what fits that persons play style that set them apart.

Used nightwing the first day I got the game on Christmas

Robin and red hood feel the best for me. Found nightwing to be slow and clunky even though he would of been my first choice

Batgirl can jump off a cliff...so can Robin. It's either Nightwing or Red Hood...until the Batman DLC

I main red hood because he's my favorite, and I like having strong ranged and close up attacks. Nightwing feels awkward to play as. I feel like I spend more time doing acrobatics than actually hitting people and doing damage. I feel like red hood is definitely the best overall character, with his strong ranged and up close attacks.

Dang I started with red hood, I was wondering why It's taking so long to get my upgrades.

Robins Knighthood traversal is the worst in my opinion. It's way to slow traversing the city seems like a chore everytime.

I mainly play as redhood and sometimes as the other characters I think i will main nightwing soon

I’m a Robin main now I started with Nightwing I didn’t really like Red hoods feel like I thought I would and batgirl was meh for me

Personally I don't care who is the best character as long as I finish the game and each character is at the top level

Knightwing just feels the smoothest RedHood feels awkward and bulky

There's definitely something I'm not understanding with those momentum bars. He talks about how you can get an extra momentum bar for Nightwing but as far as I can see from this video, he's got 3 bars. I only have one. Can someone help me understand how that works? I like the game but it seems overly complicated with some things

Yes so part of the skill tree for nightwing allows you to get and extra one you need to unlock it first tho

I played a bit with everyone and so far Batgirl is my favorite.

I want to turn my Robin into Red X so....Robin is my main character. Also I am a veteran of the Assassin's Creed series so Robin's stealth is in my wheelhouse

I'm glad Red Hood is the one to avoid. I was planning to avoid him anyway, cause I don't like how he looks.

Robin is my main. The ability to take down a big guy before the fight starts makes him the best

Then Red Hood then Batgirl. I can't get behind Nightwing. He is too weird to play. I dodge in fights so I can attack asap. I don't have a playstyle of constant dodging just so I can spam a momentum ability. I'd rather fight till I get it back. Because you don't need momentum moves for a good deal of a fight. They're nice but I am there for the combat system once my stealthing is done.

no you can't change heroes whenever you like, you can only change when not on petrol (whenever you go back to belfry)

Started the story as red hood then second character is Robin then nightingale and my final playthrough will be Batgirl

Red hood is simple once you get the rotation even on hard. Nightwing is the balanced no matter what, he is decent but not as good as red hood or Batgirl when it comes to damage. Batgirl is slower than red hood when it comes to traversal but her dmg is the best, but she is a glass cannon. Robin is slower than Batgirl, has less aoe than red hood, equal dmg as nightwing but can't heal on momentum abilities and the ones that do decent dmg lock him in a animation that can be fatal.

Your telling me there’s other characters in my red hood simulator?

I mostly play as Robin. He gets quick when you level up, and he gets very powerful

I got spoiled by Batgirl. All the other guys feel like they do 0 dmg especially on hard or maybe I build them wrong

I started with Nightwing. My buddy started with Redhood.

If you want the trophy, you got to play them all at some point

5 days later, most main Red hood lol. I can’t tell you how many people that has joined me or I joined them and we’re red hood lol.

1.Batgirl 2. Nightwing 3. Robin I haven't played with Redhood yet. Hopefully I'm saving the best character for last

I change up the character for every mission haha
