Those foam mats go bad easily! Look for some horse stall mats or rubber floor mats. Especially if you deadlift

This guy is correct ⬆️
Love this book! kzread.infoUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
This was a sad episode. I really enjoyed that everything you did is something anyone could do in their garage, but now that you are moving to a bigger separate workshop, it feels more "distant" in a way from a regular guy with a garage shop. Congrats though! Amazing that you can afford to rent a professional shop now. Still excited to see what you build next.

Don't be sad. You know this means there's a shop renovation serie upcoming!
You make the mini split install very approachable. I'll definitely be adding one in my workshop/shed build in a few months

I did one a few months back and idk why people don't try to do the electrical themselves. I have no background in electrical and found that to be extremely easy
One thing I learned with my DIY mini split. Even though it is set to work out of the box, getting it tuned will help with efficiency.
If you want to save your concrete I would use stall mats versus the interlocking gym mats. Love your channel btw! Helped with many of my new house projects!

I agree, the concrete will be busted. Need horse stall mats from tractor supply. Typically you want 3/4" to 1" thick mats to protect concrete. Great video!!!
Why not put the mini split on the other side of the door so you wouldn’t have to walk around it to get to the door from outside?
Excited to follow along your new shop adventures! 😊
Great renovation! You make everything look so easy; wish I had that level of confidence.

Just go for it
Your editing game has seriously been stepped up! Loved the different songs in the background, and the edits on the nailing must have taken forever! Great stuff as always
Great job! I’m an HVAC engineer and recommend using a waterproof whip to connect from your disconnect to the condenser. Plus use spray foam where you core your hole in the wall.
Very nice! Now we wait for the new workshop buildout and new tools! Time to get swole and build more things!
Loved the Lowes boxes holding all of the Ryobi gear.
Excited to follow along your new shop adventures
I’m not sure how your electrical code is where you are but MC cable isn’t suppose to be for outdoor use, as water will just seep though and can damage the outer cable and or your conductors

He didn’t even bother using a connector lol
Congrats on the new shop, excited to see that build! love the gym/golf simulator...... I want one!
I'm not much of a gym person, but i do know that these space require lots of fresh air intake, in which here you only installed one HVAC unit. There should be atleast another one or two exhaust fan to extract out the moisture from the sweat and yes probably "tears" (coming from a place that you have create an empire before). Plus the environment is kinda screaming SBS "sick building syndrome" of how you use the color scheme, the flooring materials, the placement of equipment, etc. But hey, this is coming out of love and respect, and thumbs up for creating this content that would allow us to create such spaces in our garages.....well, probably never i guess haha
A big projector playing JRE while working out? What a dream, everything looks fantastic!
Sad to see the shop go. I have a home gym myself. I would suggest for flooring, do horse stall mats 3/4in thick rubber flooring. Those mats look like the ones that will compress over time and could be bad for footing when balancing decent load of weight.
Brooooooooo! That looks soooo good!!! Why are you so good at everything!
Great video! I’m curious to see how you like the rubber tiles. I see a lot of people using horse stall mats.
That green was absolutely the right choice. Looks great!
Well done bro! Such a transformation 👊🏼
Looks great! Do you think something like insulating your garage door would help much in the way of keeping the space warm / cold?
Wow, honestly quite impressed!
Same gym mats I use in our garage and we just slapped double side mat tape down because doing yoga and planks the mats will move some.
Love the green dude! Like seeing the Ridgid and Ryobi tools!
I've been told by my HVAC guy that it's bad to have the line set to a mini split coiled like that. Oil can pool in the bottom of the loops and cause issues. Might be worth verifying with Mr. Cool to see if it's an issue with their gear.
I absolutely love the 💚🤍
Why not install the mini split next to your existing AC unit? Seems a bit odd to block off so much of the sidewalk?
So cool!!
You do you man. I don't know your life, but there's no way in hell I would've picked up and moved all my tools like that.
Awesome work!!!
Needless to say the next video will be you building a shop in the backyard. CANT WAIT !
Just two words to describe this and that's Fantastic and Brilliant, but the most important thing is did Boss Lady like it? Now she has to put together your Workshop seeing how you cleared your stuff out for her Gym, you know one favour deserves another favour and i'm not talking about the bedroom 😉😲 unless she wants you to remodel that room 😂 Stay Safe, Barry (ENG)
Love this build
I highly recommend replacing that MC cable you ran from your disconnect to your unit, with UF(outdoor rated) wiring. MC is not safe to be ran exposed to the elements like that
Awesome build I love how the green turned out! I needed to also say it looked like you used MC cable from the disconnect to the unit and from my understanding it is not weather rated. It only protects against physical damage. I’m not sure your state codes however in New Jersey this would fail. Instead use liquid tight flexible conduit with water proof connections and pull THWN Inside. Thanks for the great content !

Yeah good point, surprised the mini-split didn't come with outdoor waterproof conduit.
You have all that you really need, but you have a small gym. I suggest adding a stand-alone Squat Max MD, so you can do belt squats, which is much safer than back squats and front squats. You should also get a Lat Machine or a Functional Trainer for curls, triceps extensionsand lat pulldowns. You can already do pullups on your power rack, but you still need a dip attachment or a self standing dip station. A 4-wheel push-pull sled would be good too.
It looks nice, maybe a little cramped but if you're ok with it then thats all the matters. Also, Im not sure how often you plan on using the side door for the garage because of the the AC unit you installed outside of it but if anyone does use it for whatever reason, I can see them running into that ledge/shelf you installed and hurting themselves. Maybe cut that end at an outward angle or something so when whoever is coming in through the door doesn't get a 90 degree corner to the gut.
Mr Build It you’re the man!!
The best paint color to project on is Behr Silver Screen. It's gray, but it will enhance the projected image and improve the contrast.
I first saw AC units like that in Afghanistan and boy did they work wonders! Except when they went down and we had to call to get them worked on. That got kinda brutal.
10:23 when he almost feel off the ladder lol
Love it !
Sad to see OUR workshop go bye bye, but excited for OUR new spot! LOL.
Love the Michael Malice appearance at 18:20
please do build for a 2-3 person sauna
shoulda gotten the REP-5000 with the Athena functional trainer attachment, smh! Kidding. I think you have a great garage gym set up.
Good job. Very nice 😃
So after you got everything out, the trailer loaded, you had to bring back saws, nailers, drills etc., always enjoy your talent for design and building.
Horse stall mats for gym flooring! Should have watched Coop from Garage Gym Reviews!
Would you recommend placing anything on top of my rigid core floors before laying down those types of gym mats? Thinking about make a spare bedroom in to a small gym.
Any room in the backyard to make a wood working shed, which you could make to the size you'd like?
That's cool. Do you feel the need to insulate your garage doors to offset the higher costs of energy loss due to heating and cooling?
@Hypedhitman
Жыл бұрын
Those doors typically have an R14 insulation value. They make draft stops for the sides that you can install from the front of the opening. If you want to go a step further they make insulation boards that fit over the door panels.
I would have put the outside unit a little off the ground. But I feel I could do this myself.
I’m not sure where you exactly live in the states but I would think about either changing the garage doors to the insulated ones or actually insulate yours which I’ve seen people do that’s easy just to help out the AC and all that.
Health is wealth!
Nice, the only question I have is why not use black for the projector screen instead of white?
Best video I’ve watched in a while good work
What type of tool hanging board is that? The one with all your Ryobi tools hanging from it.
That's funny my wife is making me do the same thing. Turn the garage into a home gym and moving my small shop into this little nook in the garage
Getting some college classroom vibes :)
Holy crap dude! Why didn't you rent a truck with a liftgate?? I know it's cheaper to use what you already own, but the amount of work (and damage to wheels/ potential damage to tools) going up the open trailer ramp and then transporting it? Way too much effort and energy for old guys like me... Also, why did you place the inside unit of split system so close to the garage door? Potential for air loss/ thermostat reading getting interference from the outside air?
It seems so dark. No way I could work out in that. It doesn’t seem very motivating (to me) & I’d get so tired 😂
I recommend using waterproof cable when running electrical outside and you’ll definitely wanna use proper connectors as well. Great project otherwise
magic on 10:36 with shirt change haha
Where you get those clips for the mirrors you hung on wall
Just a couple things about the Mini split install from a professional HVACR tech. Cut the wall sleeve flush with the exterior wall before running and bending your pipes through so you're not causing a sharp 90 degree shelf to bend around. Agree you should use soapy water to check for leaks, but that style you used where the soap is foamy wont work. Get a small cup of dish soap and just use your finger to run it around the lip of the flared connections. Set the condensing unit on top of a concrete pad or pressure treated 4x4 so you don't have issues with the condensate water freezing into the unit during winter. The indoor unit placement could have been better, but work with what you have. Try to keep the top of the unit at least 6" from the ceiling to allow proper air flow and try to mount it on a wall where it blows towards the largest side of the room.
“Now im gonna wait for my electrician to come install the unit and the breaker” Proceeds to install himself hahaha love it. 😂❤🤷♂️ good job alex!
“We’re stubborn, we’re just gonna sweat through it” You just said my motto verbatim
Got to add a water fountain now
Sacrilege!! Putting Ryobi tools in a Lowe's Box! Ahahaha!
I’m assuming the builds are going to be different now as well? Since it wouldn’t make sense to build everything and keep hauling it back and forth multiple times. This is going to be interesting
What type of paint sprayer aet up you have?
You won't ever get a good projection screen with paint. Its called the silver screen for a reason, the material has metallic buts that help refract light in more directions giving a brighter and crisper image.
does anyone know how much those paint sprayers cost to have and operate... I.E. an air compressor, the gun, the pain ext.
All the Ryobi going into Lowes boxes... I think I heard them crying...
I only need 5 things to do that !! time, energy, money, skill and space. Other than that I'm right there.
What projector did you go with
Should have bought horse stall mats from Tractor Supply for the gym part. Much less expensive and more durable and larger pieces.
God it cracks me up watching people install hvac. So many missing steps to ensure the unit will last and run correctly. I guess that's why Mr cool loves the fact the units usually burn up in a few years. Guaranteed repeat customer
Our Alex is growing up. He's going to get a bigger shop.
love watching randy orton teach me how to build a gym
Nice grass
Should have went with a grey color for the projector wall (look it up)
It made me laugh that you loaded all of your ryobi tools into lowes boxes😂😂😂
Cool transformation! But please tell me you're not going to be doing deadlifts and squats standing on those squishy foam mats 🧐
Truly enjoy your channel and everything you've build but the electrical line you ran to the condenser has me 😱... it should be a liquid tight conduit from the disconnect to the condenser
Tools stored for moving, to proceed to need all the tools for the task.
Nice
That space is so small. I have no idea where you'd work out without bumping into something.
Home Depot tools on a Lowes box lol
Alex is Whooped 😂
My husbands dream workshop,i pray 1day im able to do that for him
hmmm now she made you move the tools out house/garage... make sure your not the next to be moved out :D
Nice set up.I'd say it's more of a man cave than a home gym and those rubber floor mats are a terrible choice for gym flooring though.
Should have went with horse stall mats instead of the puzzle piece mats
Why not build a shed in the backyard?
I think you need to replace that flex outside with seal tight.
