Released in 1992, this was one of this was the first digital keyboards I ever owned. I used this keyboard when I was first starting out in college. At the time, I didn't know the jewel I had until I purchased it again some years later. This keyboard has some of the best sounding pads, synths, strings, and leads of any synth l've heard and can rival newer synths today. You will immediately recognize the lushness in the sound and we made sure to capture all of it in this library! Furthermore, with our modern synthesis in our Pure Synth® architecture, we are able to expand the sound capabilities far past what the hardware offers. For example, we have a sophisticated monophonic/glide mode that is not present in the hardware. Our effects are also modern and you are able to use multiple chains which were limiting on the hardware. All-in-all you will get the full SY-85 experience no matter which platform you choose (Pure Synth® Expansion or Standalone UI)

• Capturing Nostalgia - Most of our presets use the exact wave layers as the hardware, which allows you to tweak to your liking.

I love all the Gospel Musicians libraries.. I don’t have an iPad big enough to hold them all but luckily my external SSD is quick + easy to hook up.. Some classic sounds in this one.. I do like the standalone GUI but I believe the PSP expansion does give you more options for tweaking.. Thanks for the demo + giveaway Leo.. Would love to win a copy of this..

It’s a beautiful sampled instrument, I already have it. I like the way it is possible to make patches yourself with the ROM samples! And honestly, I would love to have a real one ;)

Sounds very good, of course, no question. However, the size of the library becomes increasingly problematic if you have more of those and don't have at least 1 TB+ RAM capacity for your iDevice. I hope that physical modeling will prevail in the long run. Thanks for another great demo.

Yes indeed, I was actually thinking to upgrade my iPad Pro as I need more storage but the 1TB is not economical from Apple!

Apple should reduce prices… in the UK an iPad Pro M2 with 1TB is now 1650 GBP… adding an external SSD is way cheaper…

@@soundformore I think so too, their prices are borderline high. On the other hand, Apple knows its market very well and will continue to push sales prices to the limit. There are simply still too many wealthy customers who have no problem paying. Hopefully I'm wrong, but realistically I cannot imagine any price reductions, unfortunately.

Yeah, I do all my work on an iPad Pro M1 with 128GB of storage but it is now incredibly tight to work with it because of storage…
Can this be used as an editor for the actual sy 85?

Thanks for the tutorial. However, I am experiencing a few issues with the download samples.I downloaded the samples to a SSD drive and they worked fine. However, after removing and later reinserting the drive I couldn't seem to get the samples to load again. The only option seemed to be to redownload them. Any ideas. Many thanks.

I had that only once, there is a bug there somewhere and I too had to redownload it; on the other hand it works fine now. I noticed that happening if you run the app before connecting the ssd and it is almost like saving at that point that you never downloaded the samples; when that happened to me even reconnecting the ssd would not solve the issue and had to re-download the pack. Do you still have the issue? Do you have always the ssd connected when you run the app?
