GORUCK Ballistic Trainer Shoe - First Look - Fit, Sizing, Initial Thoughts

I unbox and check out the #GORUCK Ballistic Trainer - their newest training shoe for #CrossFit, rucking, and more. Also a quick side by side with the #Nike Metcon 6 and Reebok Nano X, and GORUCK's own I/O Trainer. #KeepTraining

I only heard you talk about sizes for the I/O, Ballistic and Metcon 6? What do you wear for the MACV and Nano X?

@@jcnilles I have the MACV-1 2nd gen in both 11 and 11.5. I'm still kind of torn over which size is better for me. Nano X is an 11.

I'm looking forward to your comparison of the I/O and the Ballistic Trainer. I'm on the fence on which one to purchase. Great reviews!

I ran in them this morning. Good traction on wet asphalt and grass (short and long). They are good for running, but they are cross trainers. So I'd recommend them for "WOD style" running (hundreds of meters.) I wouldn't wear these to run a 5K - or anything long distance. They are heavy (15oz) and have minimal cushion, just like every other cross trainer. My next video on these will compare side by side to running in Metcon and Nano.

Got my pair recently... Love them. I'm rucking, cross training, weigh lifting and even boxing training in them. So far these are excellent shoes...stable sole, lightweight and breathable. Fantastic product!

I went with Goruck because they are actually ever in stock! Also like the minimalist look. I have a navy-on-navy no bull though, but have never ever been able to find any of their other understated models (black on black, grey on grey, etc).

So I wear 11 in NoBull Trainers, 11.5 in the Nano X & a 11 in the Metcon 6. How would you compare the sizing in these.

I wear 11 in Nano X, 11.5 in Metcon 6, 11 in NOBULL, and 11 in Ballistic trainer. I find it interesting that you wear 11.5 in Nano X - why is that? Length or width? To me the Metcon 6 is too narrow in the toes, but the Nano X isn't (which is why I go 1/2 size up in Metcon6).

@@fitatmidlife927 the 11 in the Nano X was just too short in length so I need to go to 11.5 in the Xs. In the Nano 9 I wore an 11 in the OG before the revamp & then had to go up to 11.5 in those. Super weird but it is what it is.
