That’s very sad because they’re a lot of fun. OP as hell, so I get why, but still sad. I remember many a time winning the SAW by making a breakthrough with a tank and then flooding through with 2-4 helicopter divisions and VP sniping like there’s no tomorrow.

Lol it would be realistic if the governments of the world had to reel back from the attacks but in the grand scheme of things kept fighting through the nuclear fallout. In real life the US was ready to do that exact thing if the Cold War went hot in Europe. The Cold War iron curtain has the best nuclear war mechanics in my opinion for this reason because it has nukes drop on every developed nations airbases, forts, and victory points BUT YOU CAN KEEP FIGHTING. The world going black is a cop out, or just anti-fun.

@@Aahmpower absolutley, maybe hopefully someday theyll do away with the whole map turning black and create a far more interesting alternative to a post nuclear world aside from a bunch of event chains, maybe the major powers could slowly balkanize as the wars drag down, and the map descends into anarchy over many months with only rump emergency governments being propped up in the least effected regions. maybe with reigonal conflicts like the great trial only germany and russia could be effected from nuclear war. anything is better than it just turning black forever

@@notascientist709 The issue is that a nuclear conflict on TNO-scale would mean total destruction of the state, and probably most civilisation. You can't play HoI4 when you're commanding a country with no industry, no agriculture, and everyone who hasn't died of fallout is dying of cancer and starvation.

@@raresmincan634 The Party has no content, so it is pointless playing them anyway. But if a Party Speer path came out, I would play it as an alternative to Bornmann. Oberlander seems less likely to pull a "Opulence" and might actually need to stomach the anti-slavery reforms

Burgundy ending the world at the end of Goering is a weird plot hole. If himmler can end the world so easily, why do they never do it and himmler just dies in 82 apparently? Does he really never finish the bunkers? Oh, and it happens even if they only have one bomb, which apparently is large enough to destroy the planet I guess. Cool playthrough at least, would recommend the submod that removes the Armageddon event to continue.

thermonuclear war scenario is more like: himmler is nuking us?? nuke him 100x back! and then the us and japan see germany launch 100 thermonuclear missiles and think "oh god those might be coming towards us" and launch their missiles in retaliation and so on. at least i think thats the idea

The whole Burgundy is stupid. For a few SSman they are ruling too much land and when they take another land from France in 1963 they are just asking for a disaster. I think it should start small as in TWR when you exile them in Burgudy and can only became big as they start in current version.
