I love your " keep calm and carry on " approach! I could not have done that😂. The only colorful part would have been my language! Good job.

Hi Laura, I never quit but sometimes life needs to put art on the back burner . My Habitat store is great but hit or miss as well. We have 2, one close and one about 1/2 away. The closest one has stopped carrying home improvement things and now sells mainly furniture, doors, lighting. They moved all building supplies to the other store so I don't frequent it as often. When the flooring section starts getting filled up they put everything on ffor 50%.. that's where my box of tiles came from. Worked out to less than 15c a tile so that was a good scoop! Cindy

Cindy you’re my girl! My fellow Canadian pouring girl. Love watching you. I know that you’re thrifty and I really would love you to show me this black tile that you have on your turntable. And hallelujah Habitat for Humanity. I did not think of going there but I’m definitely gonna check it out. It’s so great to have a KZread artist like yourself for me to follow I live in A few provinces over!! And that is including the crazy stores we have to go to to get our supplies and this up-and-down weather. You pour in your kitchen and I pour in my basement. So you have a nice flat black tile that looks like it is going to be fantastic to clean and how are you levelling it? what is this plasticine? Please show me in a video. I can not get Beautitone velvet where I am 😕 that’s all right. So jealous of your bigger table. But happy for you. Love your work nobody does it like you. Love your wit. So enjoyable to watch.

Hi Sandie, apologies for such a lengthy the to respond back.. life is running on high speed these days. What province do you live In? You are correct in saying I am thrifty, frugal and cheap! Life is way to costly to live large. Sourcing out through places like marketplace on fb, Habitat keeps me being able to create without remortgaging the House! We definitely get ripped off in Canada for supplied.. I have a close friend in the US.. she can get a gallon of paint for $17.. we pay at minimum x that. My large tile is just a plain black 24 x 24 square tike. I level it with 4 plobs of plasticine ( kids modelling clay from the dollar store.) Ita the easiest way to level anything...just roll up your balls and place them on your spinner, drop your large tile onto the center. I use a level once my tile is in place that way I can apply pressure where needed to create a level surface. After a while my tile is so secure its hard to get off. I was using a 12 x 24 up until I found this big guy. It's a cheap easy fix to extend our working surface. Many thanks for hanging in the messy kitchen with me. Cindy

Well sounds like to me you got a heck of a cell on your table and your tiles can't beat that. And your swipe the close up really made a lot of difference you could see it so much better and the colors are beautiful.
