    You are one of the artists who is down to earth, not fake, and not running on huge ego. That’s what I like about you. So many I stopped watching because their ego got bigger than my screen sadly. Yet often times their work is not better than mine or yours. You have to find your happy place and own way of doing things and things work out. I still have failures just like anyone and that is okay too. Stay the way you are, it’s what makes you worth watching.

    Awww thank you Dawn. The likleyhood of me changing at this point in my life is ZIP.. lol I learned along time ago that life is so much easier to just tread water rather than swim upstream. My happy place is simple and free. I try to help others when or if I can and I don't pretend to be something I am not. I'm learning right along with you all, I make just as many disastrous pieces and scrape just as much paint. My video skills suck and I'm not about to learn editing to make them all sparkling and cool.. just me. Hope you have a great Easter, filled with tons of fun. Cindy

    Many thanks Abbie, fluid art really is an adventure isn't It? The reality is we only have a small amount of control over what the paints will do. I have mixed beautiful colors together and got horrible results and have mixed the worst possible combos and got amazing results. It's always fun just to play and experiment and wait to see the end results. 😀. Cindy

    Hey Lizzy, I'm super new to zentangles but it's certainly a really positive way to just get lost. I was super shocked at how costly proper micron pens and paper were... I will just stick to a sharpie and plain paper for now. Cindy

    Hey chickadee.. painting is back to being my therapist. I ve done about 50 pages of zentangles and I'm already bored with that so it's back to my messy room. Best part is I get to connect with nice people like yourself. And as always there are a few that aren't so nice with nothing good to say.. I connect with them too.. lol How are you feeling these Days? Happy Easter Michelle.. eat lots of chocolate eggs.. comfort food. Cindy

    Hi Cindy. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. Your creations are beautiful!! ❤❤ I wanted to ask about the Valspar you mentioned. Which one do I get? There are different paints as well as choices of flat, gloss, satin, etc. in the Valspar line. I did catch that it needs to be Base C but there are other options available for the Base C. Is there a number or something on the can that would tell exactly which one? Or maybe you could show a pic of the can that shows all the info. I’m anxious to try your recipe because I have never been able to make the bloom work. I know what you mean about wasting tons of paint and stuff, and I finally gave up before I went broke. Anyway, if you could let me know about that Valspar, I would greatly appreciate it!! I can hardly wait to see if I can finally produce a bloom.

    Hi, I get it.. the recipes are overwhelming and trying to figure out what will work for you is a whole other story. I am using Valspar Season Flex exterior paint & primer. Semi gloss sheen. Base 4.. product number is 4974932.. I am not 100% convinced that this will be my final choice for pm... it changes frequently as I am always looking for the next best thing. For me this replaces Valspar season Plus.. which I think wasn't better but I can no longer get. Its always a struggle... environmental factors contribute to our success or failures and manufacturers continuously discontinued make a new and improved product... lol. This base a bit more opaque than I like but it works.. if your paints look slightly faded just add a little more paint. It dries quite clear. I am mixing these days 50/50 with Artist loft pouring medium... only because i had some. Hope that helps and doesn't just add more confusion.. blooms are tricky.... and consistency is key. What are you using now for Pm? Cindy

    One question for you: how do you hold the canvas in place when you spin? When I tried my canvas flew out and almost ended on the floor.....I managed to fix it but I will not try it again until I find out how to....many thanks and happy pouring 🙏💖

    Lol... I get it. I have had several fly off, hit the wall and make a dreadful mess. I seldom paint on canvas but if I do I adhere my canvas with 4 good size blobs plasticine.. I feel like most people just use a bit of paint to create a suction.. that's what I use for tiles.. Cindy

  • @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173

    @acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173

    Hi Becky, I don't do the small 4 x 4 coasters anymore. My best sellers are the 4 x 16 size. As far as finishing goes I resin the tops only (I hate messy, bumpy edges). I paint or sometimes copper foil my edges giving them a nice clean line. Once those steps are completed I attach a d ring style hanger to the top with a little dab of E600 or Sikaflex. From there I cover the backs with felt so they too are nice and clean.. that's it wall ready. I sell quite a few through a local restaurant, I wont get rich or retire early but my sales all help to pay for products. Havivg said all if that when I did paint coadter size I sold them as singles.. little mini pieces. They sell really well at markets and Christmas craft fairs for $10/ each or 5 /$40. Hope that helps. Cindy

    Hi Linda, I'm not 100% sure of what you are asking but I think you are asking if the Valspar is interior wall paint? Yes is the answer. I generally use Base c as pouring medium mixed either Floetrol or Artist loft pre-made pm. Hope that answered your question. Cindy
