80h+ weeks, I guess. Add to that reading about stuff related to his job, experimenting with recipes, shopping for ingredients/appliances, going to several restaurants and bars to taste their stuff in his free time. You basically commit your life to a job for years. Nowadays he probably has more free time due to the amount of money he makes, but I'm sure he still works more hours a week than the average person.

I think my top favorite thing about Gordon (outside of his consistency with his standards) is he can keep his cool like that when someone is insulting him, and unleash when he needs to. This guy is a fucking master at these arguments, and at pushing people when they need to be broken a little.

Gordon is actually quite amazing in his speeches. He first humbles people... if they aren't humbled yet so they see their mistakes.. and the moment the mistakes tend to hit them and they're about to hit rock bottom, he picks them up. His way of telling him he was handsome, was amazing.. He basically said that if he put as much effort in his restuarant, as he does in his looks, it would work.
