It can be a real concern, it’s a very visible correlation seen throughout KN, chefs in a negative environment can lose their passion for cooking, resulting in sub-par or inedible food. If the chef had answered “yeah a bit” Gordon would have either tried to help them find their passion again, or assess them overall and maybe have a word with the owners about a replacement

You know Gordon is really pissed off when he doesn't raise his voice, he just talks slow and sternly while laser focused on your eyes

I think what appeals to me about watching Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares is that I get to watch Gordon yell at people that I would very much like to yell at myself.

"We care about this place, and we care about YOU!" I'm someone in recovery. My situation was bad enough, but this man has his own employees that suffer from his incompetence genuinely caring about him because it's clear his alcoholism is affecting everyone and the business. I genuinely hope that man got the help he needed, it always hurts seeing cases like this.

Started bitching and complaining (im a trucker who worked at the time for a moving company). Sent him a piece of paper containing our daily itenerary to the minute. On the back was my resignation and WHY i was quitting. I took a month off to relax then got a job paying more than he makes. He was texting me asking if i wanted to come back for a few weeks. I laughed. He was fired shortly afterwards (protip: dont piss off truckers .. you need us we dont need you)

You can tell this is the first time any of these people have been scolded/humbled. They surrounded themselves with people who don’t push back on their bullshit for so long it’s shocking when someone does.

hahaha love watching Gordon. reminds me of my father (who before he retired was an executive chef). standards of excellence was only acceptable and he was as passionate as him. I learned a lot from my father and his passion as he stood by everything he served,,,, and still does as he still has his passion for cooking and does it for his friends. Birthday to top it off was amazing surf and turf. Seafood medley salad and to finish it off some Pavlova for desert

Both the owners keep trying to make power moves like that throughout and it doesn't work cause they don't pay their employees and said employees are the only ones willing to work there. It's amazing how bad most of these owners are at realizing what their own bargaining power is.

Bruh, that part wasn't shit compared to when Gordon had Rob call his "friends" and ask why they didn't tip his staff...and was caught red handed at stealing tips 🤣 People like that should be locked up, imo, but at least Gordon jumped his ass real good. @@bigmanliam Hallucinations are no big deal, people go through psychosis and schizophrenia all the time, I was there too. Staying up takes a big toll on your body though so that why should really move around and strain yourself physically and get some fresh air and make the room dark and well-ventilated so you sleep well. I wish for the good of people that they'd start being more proactive about their health because that will make them happier. Having healthy living habits doesn't mean you can't do stuff like beer and drugs etc once in a while.

Gordon is literally such a great person.

You know, once you achieve success in your field, most people tend to not remember their struggling days or what's like to be the little guy in your field. But I am glad to see Gordon after being in the industry for more than 2 decades and being one of the faces of the food industry, he still understands that it's important to listen to the employees and not just dismiss their pleas or opinions like owners or even some Managers do

Rissa Matti There is no such thing as a British accent. You can be a British national, but there’s no ‘British accent’, since Britain is composed of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You would have either an English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish accent. Obviously there are regional differences in these accents too. But there’s no such thing as a British accent.

it's obvious and unavoidable honestly. Like, imagine if you have a trash restraunt, and you ask for gordon to come help. Of course he'll have to hurt you with his words, to actually make you determined to fix up the place! This show is great because it shows you basic human nature. People don’t like being criticized about things. It applies to restaurants, houses, job, aspects of life, kids you name it. Moral of this show, don’t act like these people

To be true, nowadays most people don't want to actively participate in things where they could embarrass themselves for getting something wrong. So, getting into cosplay and enjoy a good show sounds perfectly fine. If the hotel where to manage business better and the murder mystery was just a theme evening on top, no one would complain about it, even if it's the dream of the hotel owner to play Sherlock and solve all the mystery.
