This man is disgusting. Anyone who starts off with “do you know who I am” shouldn’t be in a position of power. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done for the police, like your ticketing officer said, “Nobody is above the law, sir”. This seems like a pretty half-assed apology, full of excuses. You can tell he did this just to save his political rear end. It was absolutely insincere and I doubt he learned any real and valuable lesson from this ordeal. He probably just learned to be more careful for any cameras that may be watching him. Pathetic. The people deserve better than you, sir. People like this man will continue to press their advantages any way they can, and continually manipulate people into being their puppets. They take and take and take and only give when it’s to their benefit. Gross. A prime example of what’s wrong with America because we all know he’s not the only one in a position of power that loves to say “Don’t you know who I am?” For those of you in a position of power; do better. People deserve better.

Yes he was power tripping. Thinks he's above the law. Well done to the officer

someone should look into the past of mr hyde, best believe you will find a lot of dirt. Same for the brown-nosing senior officer that muted his mic at the end.

@@check2000 The two supervisors fell to their knees before the Lord of the Manor as their first act when they arrived on site. Obsequious little men. Officer Julia Beskin would do well to find another job under senior people befitting her professional standards.

I bet he still thinks he deserves his special treatment. If the traffic stop didn't go viral he would still have the same attitude that he had during the stop.

He's only sorry cause he got caught on video. If he was truly a good guy, he wouldn't have acted that way to begin with.

Imagine how he acts OFF CAMERA after seeing how he acted on camera. Officer, you were extremely PROFESSIONAL & RESPECTFUL to a pompous political idiot with a horrible attitude and who didn’t deserve the respect that you gave him.

What a liar. I watched the original video. He says in this video he was offended because she got him for texting when he wasn't texting. Okay. But in the original video he was pissy as she walked up and, when she did recite the 3 violations, his response was not, "But I was not texting." Negative. His response, after telling her not to point at him, was he knew the Chief of Police followed by "Do you know who I am?" Dude is a narcissistic, pathological liar.

You know, it's a beautiful irony that this man's career and reputation went severely downhill after he threatened the career of a diligent and hard working police officer for doing her job.

That was his true character, do not let this false apology cover for the true character of this bloat. Literally a bloat lol. Thinking hes above the law and threatening people just doing thier jobs. Imagine the level of corruption an administration lead by someone like this would have.

This wasn’t his first incident with police during a traffic stop A 2017 report from the Herald-Tribune revealed police documents indicating a number of similar circumstances. In 2013, officers responded to a traffic incident wherein Hyde reportedly told the officer he would contact the city manager or police chief and Hyde “advised this officer he would not say that he pays my salary but he pays a lot of taxes in the city,” according to the report.

He’s a big NOPE for me! That police officer had the patience of a saint, way more than he deserved. I think he showed his true colors when he was pulled over. This video was just trying to clean up his mess. The damage has been done Martin.
