I work at an airport and when i get this stupid question, i pick up the phone, call the airport police and inform them; "there is a person here who doesn´t know who he/she is and needs assistance"...i do it in such way that they can hear the conversation..it always makes then small as a carpet corner...LOL..🤣🤣

He still got the badge and the law on his side in that situation. But I think it's good that most likely all PhDs with self-confidence are just normal people like you :) . Minmin R……what a great video. This should be shown at all police academies to show cadets how to deal with morons. These cops deserve a metal for not tasering her on principle.

I find it of deep concern that people like this get put into positions of power in the first place.

In her apology, she was still being rude and lying. She said she stopped because the cops were keeping the kids on the road where it was not safe. The kids were on the side of the road the entire time. Karen was almost on the road the entire time. I almost feel sorry for her to be walking around living a life like that. It's a misdemeanour charge worth $1,000. But she may be a public official elected to office, which means they can't charger her. You have to remember the ports of New York City are run by the governments of the state of New York state, and the state of New Jersey combined through a public organization known as the Port Authority. Thus meaning she is a public official that has been elected, and the only way she could be charged as if she was impeached by the New Jersey legislator, or the New Jersey Board of the New York City Port Authority, meaning she would have to be removed from office before she got charged for the misdemeanour.

And the type of obstruction is a misdemeanor, whoever some types of obstruction of justice as can be seen as felonies particularly if it involves obstructing a court case ( misdemeanors are lesser crimes, and felonies are higher crimes ). But in both cases since this involves an elected official the official has to be impeached, because the US Constitution prevents elected officials from being arrested while they are serving, So you would need an elected board to impeach the president of the port authority, or you would need the New Jersey legislator to do so, or the federal Congress to do so. Then these issues would be brought to the justice system to rather the penalty for the misdemeanor be served as time, but to be honest with you even with dealing with Karen it isn't worth the time, or the tax dollars to do all this mess to only to impeach Karen and have her get a misdemeanor that she will only serve time for 1 day over. That's a waste of tax dollars.

Dear god they should have arrested her at about the 35 second mark. Id have had in cuffs charged with obstruction,interfering with an officer,creating a public hazard/nuisance. The list goes on and on.

Absolutely no responsibility even in her public "apology". Still thinks it was the OFFICERS who created an unsafe situation being on the side of the road, when she was the one staying there arguing for 20 minutes, and says "at no point" did she try to use her authority to gain control over the situation, and finally instructed the police organizations to train their officers on de-escalation to "avoid" these kinds of situations. Um, these police officers exemplified de-escalation and this woman is extremely off base in her thinking and apparently is surrounded by no one who will tell her the truth. Shameful and gross!!

But about them taking the time to talk to her, it depends on the cops and if it's a quiet day or not. I would probably have preferred they stop talking to her too after she got straight up disrespectful, but again, it's kind of depending on the situation.

Those cops were loving every minute of this. They knew she was being recorded. She knew too but her arrogance got out ahead of her.

Huge congratulations to the police officer who remained calm and collected during this intimidating encounter with this quite obnoxious woman

I love how she threw out there that one of them was a PhD student at Yale and the other two were graduate students at MIT. If they were that damn smart why were they driving a car that was not registered. If the crazy ass woman wanted to be mad at anyone or worry about who screwed up her weekend for Easter, she should look at the driver.

I could be the boss of 1 billion people and I still wouldn’t speak to anyone the way she treated them.

Knowing that she eventually lost her job makes watching this that much more enjoyable every time it pops up.

She couldn't have handled that any worse. Glad the police didn't acquiesce to her demands, and that they released this video.

Upon resigning Caren wrote an "apology" letter in which she actually wrote, "At no time did I suggest, in any way, that I would use my Port Authority position to affect the outcome of the violations issued to the driver." No, Caren, you just used your position to berate, insult and demean two police officers who were just doing their jobs. - The Port Authority said her letter was a "non-apology apology" and if she didn't resign, she would've been fired.
