Why is it so hard for police officers to identify themselves and explain why they are there before becoming all hostile. This officer set the tone of this interaction the minute he said, " baby momma." He knew early on that they were at the wrong address, but instead of acknowledging their mistake, he continued to escalate the situation. This is exactly how things go wrong. Their egos won't let them admit they made a mistake, so instead of apologizing and moving on to where they are actually supposed to be, they continued to escalate. They are so stupid because their own body cams record their actions, but then again, sometimes that doesn't mean anything. I'm glad this it did.

Not to sound insensitive but you don't deal with the same people and neighborhoods they do. Depending on the neighborhood, white or black, they were very likely to meet a man at the door who would say "she ain't my wife, what the hell you thinkin'?", and the cops would be cussed our for assuming that man was married to the woman in the house or responsible for her kids. That wasn't admission of wrong address but confirmation of what the guy was stating in a more round about way. Due to how things went, we cannot be full certain that it was the wrong address, the call was done out of mistaken belief that someone drank the acetone and they won't admit they were mistaken to the cops, or if this was in fact the right address and someone did drink the acetone and just trying to cover up that fact for fear of getting into trouble and CPS getting involved. However, if things started off correctly and the cops right off the bat just started with telling the man that they received a call... and just wish to confirm that everyone there was fine and confirm this was the correct address, it may have gotten better results; but more than likely, would have left with the same amount of info as they did, but much more quickly and peacefully.

You've forgotten *THE REAL PROBLEM* which was presented on another You Tube channel recently: the cops had *GOT THE WRONG ADDRESS* !!!! Not only did they insult the people in the house, but they totally got the wrong address. Notice that the cops did NOT say why they were there and they did NOT say who had sent them. The cops did not ever say "We are looking for these people" (and give the names). Since the cops did not ever explain who they were and why they were there, the cops jumped straight to the PERSONAL INSULTS stage. Then the cops just arrogantly tried to look in through the window as if they had a right to.

Apparently intelligence makes people want to commit crimes, so only dumb people get to point guns at everyone because they don't understand enough to do crimes. Or at least that's how it's interpreted in my head. Makes complete sense if your target demographic are the chronically poor and disenfranchised. Because if dumb people aren't smart enough to do crimes, why do we need police for the uneducated poor? If smart people can't be cops because they might do crimes, then why don't the cops stop THEM from doing their daily crimes?
