Security guard messed up by not contacting the employee to confirm she had hired someone to work on the car. Car owner could have informed security to expect to see people working on her car. Work uniforms may have helped a little bit.

I wish you would've given the female officer an A+ for deescalating without humiliating the original cop. She was aware of his friend's car accident death, even knew her name, had decent previous experiences with Rayshaun, even remembered where he lived, and went on her way when she realized they had no right to press him.

What's more sicker than this guy is that he only got 12 years. To all officers, if you pull someone over and they hold the position of such title like this make sure to respect the position itself when it is in action and do not give the person respect solely because they sit in that seat.

I am Pro Officer, but Alabama spells out what LEO can ask for. Police need to operate within the law and don’t trump up bull$hit charges.

As an Officer, They had no victim in this situation. They had a witness/ complainant who stated that THEY believed nobody was supposed to be out with the vehicle. This is not enough to do anything as law enforcement except ask a couple questions. The fact that they decided to press the issue with no victim, in which they never attempted to reach out to in order to confirn the situation is beyond me. They simply decided to believe a one sided story based on a witnesses belief. You can see how this can go wrong very quickly. Their investigation is completely flawed in the sense that they worked it backwards. They arrested a suspect, and then attempted to obtain a victim to justify their actions. The only way these officers couldve legally arrested for obstruction is if the car owner (Showing proof of ownership) THEMSELVES contacted the officers and stated that there are 2 men messing around with their vehicle. At that point you do have ARS and can demand to see ID. These officers deserve everything they have coming to em.

Frauditors are a menace
How many recorded instances are there of police being fooled by con-men in situations like these? How many instances are there of criminals being having interactions with responding officers and the officers leaving because their concerns were alleyed and the criminals then getting away with the crime? As a car owner, you wouldn't be happy would you, if your car was parked somewhere, security report two unknowns "working" on the car, police arrive, ask some questions, leave and then the criminals steal your car. What would you expect the police to do in that situation?

It's a travesty of justice that these evil cops were not charged with kidnapping. There is a chance that both cop's IQ combined, does not reach room temperature. Asking a man fixing a car with the wheel off " What ya all doin? " has to be the stupidest question ever asked.

I'm just a dumb, obese, ignorant security guard who didn't get my facts together before calling the cops a good man who was helping someone. Both cops are ignorant and arrogant. They have no business working with people because they are incompetent and a liability. They need to be reprimanded and sued! We , the people, will not tolerate this behavior.
You really should watch what you eat...being "obese" is very dangerous.
