Looks amazing. I just wish the phone was squared off and not losing real estate with the rounded displays. I'm so unsure about which phone I'll end up buying this year the ZF6 or this. I love Samsung squared off the phone but I just don't think they went wide enough. All they had to do was take a S24u and fold it.

Crazy how other foldables are giving us what Samsung is refusing to do so. Google with the fold 2 and look at the changes. I can just imagine what the Google fold 4 would be at. Hopefully they keep the upgrades coming

For me in a fold i want superior camera, good battery and an outer display i can be happy using most of the day when im out. If i ever do get a folding phone ill be insuring it though lol

Hey dude, I just done a one year later review on the channel and I still love the pixel fold. Vivo X fold 3 is same dimensions as pixel fold 2 if you want a comparison.

With a a case it will look more uniform on both sides when closed. I like the rounded corners as my Zfold5 was more comfortable to hold and use than my S23 Ultra was. I really like it. This is the first non Samsung phone that has piqued my interest since I started buying Samsung with the S7.

Looks like this may be my Fold upgrade this year. Seeing as Samsung is being lazy with the redesign and OnePlus not dropping the Fold 2 until next year I may explore this foldable

I'm tempted because of the 8" screen. I'm a vivo x fold daily driver. $1500 would clinch it.👍

That bezel on the left side of the cover display is very necessary when it comes to rigidity of the cases that will be made for it. One of the big issues with the OnePlus Open is that there aren't many good cases for it because of how thin the bezel is on its cover display, the part of any of the cases that covers the cover display is extremely flimsy. A bit more bezel is fine by me.

Massive improvement. However, those left side corners when closed are distracting. A uniform outside would be first prize, but I like the rest.

Will they increase charging speeds? Brightness?

Im between this and Pixel 9 Pro. It will probably come down to the camera. If they use the same camera, I'm sold. I am fine with losing a little of the zoom tho, I never really use it and find it a bit gimmicky these days

My OnePlus Open's days are numbered if this holds true! (Sold my Pixel Fold for Open months ago).

I have the first fold and prefer that aspect ratio. May hang on to it.

Pixel fold 2 will be the best foldable in the world if they fix the previous software issues and add more customizations like samsung. Im tempted

Love the bigger screen but the inside bezels are way thicker than the Fold 5 and why can't they even match 1+'s outer display bezels? Why do they always have the thickest bezels. Don't get me wrong i appreciate that they improved them but as the competition does too, they keep falling behind.

If you have to put a case on that big camera, stick it out. That's how wide the phone's actually gonna end up being. And then when you put the front cupboard case on, you're gonna have like what a one inch. Thick phone

Man Samsung being so circumspect with the upgrades really is gonna continue to make them lose ground in the foldable market. It doesn't seem like TM Roh cared for foldables to begin with considering they were conceived during the DJ Koh era.

Round corners look hideous. Probably worse ratio than an iphone! And agree, the tensor chip is stupid slow and if they don't have UFS 4.0 storage then (again) the video capture is gimped (no HDR UHD 60fps, for example). Utterly ridiculous at this price point.

Yup, I'm switching from Samsung Z Fold 4 to Pixel Fold 2. I want a wider outer screen, and Z Fold 6 won't have that. From what I saw, Fold 6's outer screen will still be too narrow.

Yes. I'm switching from the fold 5 from Samsung to this one. Fold 6 is a letdown.

Lol I can't wait.. idk if I'm getting the galaxy fold 6 ultra or whatever or the Google fold 2.

I don't like that inner screen mirrors the outer, it's a big deal for me with weather widgets, for outdoor work

I’m considering this over the Z Fold. I had the Z3 and Z4 and loved it. I only upgraded to the Z4 because it was SLIGHTLY wide and shorter lol) just enough to make the front screen more comfortable. Zero interest in the Z5 And so far absolutely zero interest in the Z6. Software may not be up to par with Samsung but it looks infinitely better so far .

I just hope Google makes Android jump into "landscape mode" or "tablet mode" without rotating the Pixel Fold 2 90⁰.

Pixel fold will only get my money when their cameras are as good at the rest of the pixels AND battery life significantly improves. Looks and aspect ratio are secondary considerations.

Totally agree. Why oh why do you tubers keep talking about diagonal inches, when what really matters is width and height, ie aspect ratio. With square screens, watching movies is ridiculous with huge black bands top and bottom.

folds need to be taller than wider. when its open you want it as close to 16:9 as you can get it.

the battery life will still be inferior to the OnePlus open and that's what sucks

Old and outdated from the Pixel Pro

I have had samsung fold 3 and fold 4 and never again because camara iwas aweful and both had issues on screen where it folds which always started with a dot. The fold 4 had screen replaced by samsung 3 times in 6 9 months. Last time refused to repair because i had scratches on front screen. Screeen that was faulty was only 2 months old and didnt have scratch or mark on it. So im staying away from samsung folds now . But i really want one with built in smart pen

Samsung Fold 6 will be a disappointment with almost no upgrade. I gonna go for this Pixel Fold 2!

Their first foldable just wasn't there yet but this second attempt looks promising. defo switching from Samsung when it comes out.

Should be easy to improve from last years version since it was terrible. If they are sticking with the mid range tensor they will need to lower the price though cant charge flagship money for a device with an inferior chip in it

Will it be water and dust resistant. Anyone know that yet?

I was amazed my pixel fold fit perfectly my jean back pocket without even sticking out. This was and is the perfect size. Too bad they going to be a OnePlus clone instead of keeping their advantage with form factor. Nobody I know would want a more narrow phone. Taller yes, but not narrower.

Looks like a OnePlus Fold with Pixel cameras so they realized this form factor is better but with there slower custom soc you might as well stay with OnePlus

8.02" is too big IMO, but it looks good. I wonder what the battery capacity will be since they managed to slim it down. The Pixel Fold was already slim.

Dang Samsung is messing up with the Z Fold 6. All these other foldable phones have the SPECS we want. I bet the charging on the Pixle will even be more than a measly Samsung 25 watts too.

Not crazy at all. I don't care about the screen size, but I do care about the battery life. If not for the Samsung sound app that allows me to play sounds to different media devices, I would be looking at another fold instead of the Z6.

If it doesn't have a Snapdragon don't even bother people , trust me.

@NyteStalker89 when I can run two games at the same time on a Snapdragon phone and it still runs better on both than a single game on my Pixel, that is a big problem. But yeah, for casual non techy people, it should be fine because they can't tell the difference.

why are people so fucking obsessed with these inconsequential shit: bezels, camera, rounded/ssquare edges, camera dot in the top of the screen? ffs these are literally the most senseless things to buy/not buy a phone over, you don't even notice them when you're using the thing my blackberry key 2 camera from 2018 takes pictures that are so high res and quality i can't even imagine what i would do with something "better", or if i'd notice the difference

Yes, That's how products evolve and improve.

While the Pixel Pro Fold/Pixel Fold 2 looks nice, I won't switch from my Z Fold 5 nor leave Samsung unless Google competes with Sammy's trade-in incentives. I got about $1000 off my Fold 5 for pre-ordering and trading in my S22 Ultra, including upgrading my watch and earbuds. Until other companies match those incentives, coupled with the fact that I am heavily invested in the Samsung ecosystem, and actually love my Fold 5, I don't have any plans of upgrading but, when I do, I doubt very seriously that I'd leave Samsung

Why can't Google use Snapdragon Gen 3? Why the awful Tenser chip? Its the only thing stopping me getting there phones.

@@Maxx134a Its not a Samsung SOC its a Snapdragon SOC and if you look at history it has always been underpowered. Which is why they are using the next gen tensor 4 to get closer but that's the point the one on the 1+ is just as good.

Keep your Ultra. If you switch to the Pixel Fold 2.. you'll have bad gaming, bad photos, and slow processing. I owned the first Pixel Fold and it even lagged on KZread with my gigabit connection.

At 4:40 "It won't be as wide, which I think a lot of people would probably appreciate"... What planet are you thinking anybody would appreciate LOOSING ANY amount of width?!!. NO, it's NOT appreciated, because all non-folding phones are already wider. We don't need narrow Samsung clones, and in this case, a OnePlus clone. BAD move for Google to loose any amount of width.

These "leaked" images of the PF2 are a complete joke. All they did was take the OnePlus Open, which I own btw, and change it up with photoshop. I could do this in less than 10 minutes in photoshop, and I never even use that program. Is this really the best they can do?
