@TasiaCustode, you mentioned that additional Booking "Types" is only available with Google One Premium. What about Google Workspace accounts? Do we get this feature with that? (I don't think Google One is available for Workspace accounts?)

@@BradWieland yes! You could upgrade to either to get the ability to add more than one type of booking. With workspace they are called “appointment slots” and you can make multiple different ones, recurring or not.

One tip. If you have an event on your calendar that overlaps the appointment time slots it will override the time slots ONLY if the event is marked busy. If the event is marked Free then the time slots will still show up. This is huge if you want something on your calendar that’s not so important but still want to have the time slots available for booking.

@@Grandpa_RLP OK…. Lemme see….. Imagine you’re a fitness instructor and you use Google Calendar to manage your personal training sessions. You’ve set up recurring appointment slots on weekdays from 9 AM to 11 AM for clients to book their training sessions with you. One day, you plan to attend a casual, non-mandatory coffee meet-up with other local fitness instructors. This meet-up is from 10 AM to 11 AM on a Wednesday. While you want to keep this in your calendar, you don’t want it to block out your availability for training clients, since the coffee meet-up is informal and you can skip it if needed. So, you add the coffee meet-up to your calendar from 10 AM to 11 AM, but mark it as “Free” instead of “Busy.” This way, your 9 AM to 11 AM training slots on Wednesday remain open for clients to book. If a client books a session during that time, you’ll prioritize the training session over the meet-up. If no one books, you have the option to attend the meet-up without affecting your schedule’s availability for clients.

Thank you so much for so much information. I'm having problems letting the bookable feature reckognise an external calendar which I integrated into the google one. So, the g calendar would show the events frrom the external c. but it wouldn't block the availability of those events. Is it because I have the free version of the G calendar? thanks

Great video!!! I am presently working on a website for our beehive tours. I have managed to follow along with setting up the google calendar. The part I am having a problem with is when I add a booking button to the website and paste the calendar link, it keeps saying I have the wrong URL number. This was great my friend! I'm loving this feature as a Google Workspace user. However, do you know if can you create an appointment slot for other users on your account? I've noticed as a user on others GW I can create one but it's not the same as a GW space owner. I haven't found much FAQs about this so if you know I appreciate the support!

Do you know if there are cancellation time limits. For example if the person wants to cancel the booking and its less than 24 hours from the appointment time, google won't let them?

Hello! Great video thank you. I upgraded my account to add multiple calendars but it keeps referencing my default calendar. I spoke with google support but they didn't even know about this new features 😂 I don't suppose you know why this would be?

You can share the calendar to another email you own, though, so there is a semi-workaround in regards to other calendars.

can you connect stripe or payment processing to google calendar ? How do you get people to pay before attending a meeting or a class for example ?

Is there a way for a client to schedule more than one appointment at a time without having to fill out the information the booking requires each time? For instance, if I have my appointment duration default to 30 minutes and my client needs 2 hours, how do you manage that?

Im struggling to remove the slide bar on the right side of my google calendar that i embedded in my wordpress site- i want the booking page to be on the whole page so that there isnt a scroll for the booking page itself

Hi Tasia, I have everything set up correctly but, for some reason, when people book dates, I am not getting an email back to me alerting me to the new booking...but the person making the booking IS getting that email...any ideas on what I am missing?

I only see "view appointment slots" and in the settings I don't see an option for appointment schedule despite having Google Workspace. Any ideas as to why that is?

Its awesome, I just wish they'd let the person booking choose between Google Meet, Phone, In-Person, and others like Zoom, Facetime, Teams, Hangouts etc.

Following the directions EXACTLY. What would be the reason when I go to look at the calendar at the end, it says no times are available? I'm using one day only for scheduling, 4 hour block of time at 5 minute increments. Everything is fine until I complete it and go to look at it. Any suggestions?

Would this be different for google business accounts?

I use an iPad the option for “appointment scheduling” doesn’t appear. I also have the basic business plan. Does anyone have an idea why I’m not getting the “scheduling” options?

can this booking schedule be used in wix?

I'm trying to create a golf tee time booking calendar. They are every 15 minutes starting at 7 am until 2 pm or later depending on the day. Some days have different times that need to be blocked out. It's a seniors community and they have no money so I'm trying to help them with a cost-free way to let people book online.

Of course I don’t see these options when I open my google calendar. Is that because I am using an iPad Pro?

Does anyone know if it works with Zapier? I use Zapier to connect my scheduling system and my CRM (Pipedrive)

Okay I'm having a hard time figuring this out. My personal account I can do everything in video but on my business account where i want to use this all i have is appointment slots and in the settings I don't have the check box to change it like Ohers suggested in comments. What do I do or why is this a problem?

I had the same issue. I did a chat with Google and this was their response; "I have checked your subscription, but sadly Amanda the appointment schedule feature is not available for Business Starter plan. It is only available with a Business Standard Plan. A KZread video I watched said it was included with a free plan. It is included with a free plan, but not a paid plan? That doesn't seem to make sense. Sadly Amanda the free Gmail account you have seen has to be clubbed with Google One premium add on, only in that scenario appointment schedule will be added, and it will not be a free plan anymore." So unfortunately, this doesn't look like a free feature at all. I'm confused by the video saying that it is a free feature and all the commentors that were able to do this.
