To all you single women reading these comments: Laura and Jesse are indeed adorable together. This is what a marriage is supposed to be like - respect, kindness, consideration, compatibility, humor… I have been married to my best friend for 38 years. It’s still wonderful and we love and appreciate each other more than ever. My hubby always says, “Marry someone you have fun cleaning out the garage with.” Give those nice guys a chance, ladies.

Omgosh! I had the whole set of the black octagon dishes and mugs, and I had the white set too. They were wedding gifts in 1991...and I hated them!!!😂 I used them because we were so poor and those were all we had. But as soon as I was able, I sold them in a yard sale and got me a set I loved. It is hilarious to see them now, coming back around in style!!! Ugh, I'm getting old! Great video, love to see you and Jesse thrifting together! Hubby and I are still married, going on 33 years this September and we still love to go thrifting/antiquing. Blessings from Kentucky, The Bluegrass State!

What I like best about the dresser is that it was purchased by someone who won't cover it with chalk paint. Secondly, I would have given the pink side table a loving home but unfortunately I'm in North Carolina and it may be gone by the time I drive out to get it. Lastly, Pfaltzgraff...the "P" is silent. I watch two You Tube Thrift Flippers who live in Pennsylvania. When they find it they sigh and pass it by. It is very nice dishware but I know, being a Pennsylvania native, that back in the 80's absolutely everyone had Pfaltzgraff dishes. Not so rare around those parts. Great video!❤❤

It's so much fun to watch how you two get along and make each other laugh.

I love watching your videos, and I feel like everyone says that, so I'll tell you why. Most other thrifters take everything and leave nothing behind for others, including people in need who only have $20 to spend on a desk. You take what you need, use much of what you find yourself, and often say you love something but will leave if behind for someone else. THAT is an attitude of sustainability and community. You really are to be admired. You dont just have a great eye. You make the world a better place - the kind I want to live in. Thank you!

My husband had that same what is it …a receiver and then he had a big reel to reel thing.. and when he was in the service he put all his mixed tapes together in his off time. Brings back memories… he passed away at 59. He’d be 74 now and still be jammin’

I was having a really not so good day and then I went thrifting and I then started to have the best day ever in Miami with my vintage haul, and then I turn on KZread and see that there’s a video of yours out?? This just made the day even better!!! 😂❤ So excited lol watching now.🎉

Hi Laura! Just a tip to help drawers slide smoothly is take a bar of soap & run it on the sides of the drawers where they make contact with the dresser, it works like a charm! Happy thrifting to you & Jesse! 🥰😊💕

I moved to the PNW three years ago from Virginia. That dresser was made by Lane Furniture out of Altavista VA and is a QUALITY piece. They were so expensive new. Happy it is going to a good home.

I’m w Jesse on the potato masher. You use it on your dry potatoes then heat cream & butter and use electric hand beater to get creamy smooth (no lumps) potatoes.

I get so happy when I see you posted Friday night! As much as I want to watch immediately, I save the video to watch while I drink my coffee with my feet tucked under me as I sit on the couch at 5 am while the house is quiet! This is contentment. i went to an estate sale this morning and scored on some jewelry, I also went to a thrift store last week and scored. before that i was telling my daughter that i needed some good thrifting Karma so I cleaned out my closets and kitchen and linen closet and donated a ton of stuff to a local small thrift store. No joke, the next day I was blessed with amazing finds! When you give, you shall receive! Anyways, just had to share that with you because I know you get excited when you come across awesome stuff too....

Honestly, I love that you can see the potential in old discarded furniture. Some of the older pieces are made very well and are worth a new breath of life. I think the thrift stores in Oregon are great compared to the Bay Area. Always enjoy your videos! 😊

Hey Laura, I love watching you & Jesse thrift together. Reminds me of my husband & I. Just FYI you can wash baskets, give them a rinse in the sink , squirt with your favorite cleaner, leave in sink for a bit, rinse and put in the sun or warm place to dry. Thank you for another great video Laura and Jesse. Sometimes if you move swap over the dresser drawers it solves the problem. I really liked the basket. The handle looked to be a slightly different and could have easily been cut off. Hope your Japan trip is amazing. Please remember in Japan,, when you are pointing at something use your whole hand and not your finger as this is considered impolite.

If you were close to me in Texas, I'd for sure restore that dresser for you. I've done tons of them including stripping and refinishing the top, which is 95% a must do on any old dresser.

Jesse is a hoot. I also wouldn't have bought the dresser but as Jesse said, you make magic Laura. But, I am on your side with the ratan desk, I would have bought it. 😂 I loved your idea to put a soap in that lovely dish. I also loved the bowl and the plant you put in it. I like the top of the small table but not the bottom part of the stand. I think the winner finds were the two vintage folding chairs Jesse scored on this thrifting adventure. ✌️😉😂 I love how they look, the colour, they are practical, useful, light, foldable and store-able. Good job Jesse. 😅 Thanks guys, it's always fun to see the two of you out thrifting. 🤗💖

Honestly Laura with the sad way that most furniture is being made (cheaply) these days; you got a great deal on a wonderful pc. of furniture! Kudos. Jesse is a sweetheart & seems to support your journey. Best to you both. Once had jet lag so badly that I felt drunk & could NOT keep my eyes open.

That Haywood Wakeville (sp?) would be awesome sanded down and if the pink didn't come off... I would add extra colours like turquoise yellow orange and lime green and then sand it down so it had lots of cool colours come through!
