The vintage round metal holder is suppose to have martini glasses and a cocktail shaker! I just thrifted one! 😊

Hey Laura! I have that glass caddy at around 8:45 timestamp. It was from Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware (some place like that) in the early 2000s. It holds 4 small martini glasses and the shaker goes in the center 😊

You guys are so cute together! I wish my hubby liked to thrift like he does. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I found your channel randomly one day months ago and you have inspired me to bring out my inner thrifting goddess! I have been very depressed for a few years now since my parents both passed within a couple of months of each other. They were divorced for years, but still remained best friends because of still raising my sister and I. I was just laying there each day, like an 80 year old waiting to die, even though I’m only 46! You’ve also helped my marriage. I get out of the house and do things now instead of lying in bed or the couch all day sad. Thank you for helping me LIVE AGAIN and I look forward to each day. I love your videos and look forward to watching them every week. I knew my mom collected antiques, but I had no idea to what extent. My stepdad has the pieces now, but she has some great pieces. Thank you for the knowledge you share about the pieces you show on your videos and what you thrift. I had no clue what my mothers pieces were until now. I just wish that I was into thrifting and collecting pieces when my mom was still alive. But on the brighter side, I now know what she has collected and I can pass down that knowledge and pieces to my daughter and other generations to come. Thank you again for being the bright bubbly person that loves to live life to the fullest everyday and sharing that with everyone! ❤❤

I absolutely LOVE the darker bar stools, the new ones. The wishbone chairs are a little busy, although still beautiful, but I love the new ones so much more. What an awesome find!! Yay!

I just found your channel last week and I really have to say..I love it! I love thrift stores and have found some fun pieces over the years. I really enjoy your channel because you are so genuine, honest and positive! Your ability to create memories for yourselves with your travels but also combining your love of all vintage and travelling with like minded folks and making a business is so inspiriting!

Those Moroccan rosewater bottles are used by Sephardic people at celebrations/ceremonial events as they sprinkle guests with the rosewater to welcome them.

I think that shade of yellow looks really good on you. Jesse is absolutely right it's a jewel tone yellow💛

Leave the seats!" when you mentioned changing the seats on the woven chairs. I am so relieved you looked them up and decided not to. They will be great as they are.

That Hilo Hattie Hawaiian shirt is a classic. Hang onto it because Hilo Hattie is no longer in business after many many years of serving happy tourists.

I want to thank you for your upbeat videos and attitude towards life. I turned 68 today and am in bad health living with chronic constant pain. Some days I want to end it all but I watch your videos and some others and feel better. I started collecting vintage over 20 yrs ago and even had an antique booth for many years. I had hoped to continue in my retirement but am unable to even go to thrift stores anymore. My favorite to collect was mid century modern probably because I grew up in that time period. I am presently trying to downsize as I still have a lot of items I collected over the years. I invested a lot of money over the years and do not want to donate everything, especially my 60s Italian and California pottery pieces. I would like to offer it to a dealer but request they take it all. I just dont know how to go about it. Anyway I just want to say That I love your videos and your styling ideas and look forward to all your future videos.

You can absolutely rock yellow! Your skin tone is warm-toned, so yellow complements your complexion beautifully.

Laura, that Pendleton jacket is perfect! Brings out your eyes. And how fortuitous that the gray collar totally matches your little salt and pepper cap you're wearing today. You can absolutely wear that nice mustard yellow. Great find and I also love the gorgeous crystal candlestick holders from that stop. So jealous because we have nothing good at our local GWs here in Florida.

I prefer the lighter chairs. They flatter the natural, organic feel of that space.

@@VivienneRussell I can’t because I have a 2 year old granddaughter who lives a mile from me. I really have too much stuff already. The last 3 gifts I received from my daughters I picked out. A Tole painted wooden plate and a 16 inch carved wooden Loon from an estate sale. Plus I got 3 lanterns for Christmas. I went to estate sales 25 years ago.

The new bar stools are absolutely awesome! I think they do draw in the darker elements, but also contrast beautifully with the lighter woods. When I saw those at the shop, I thought, hmmmm wonder how those would look, thinking "not so good" But that designer knew his or her stuff!

Definitely change it up! It was such a dramatic difference when you put back the original chairs. The curved back of the new ones is very complementary to the island, and the height of the chair back doesn't obstruct the visibility of the decor on the island.

Heck yes, love the new stools, most definitely change it up! Great finds, I didn’t even realize there was a goodwill in Scappoose, I don’t even think I’ve ever been out there, I’m going to be thrifting tonight, and tomorrow, depending if snow shows up! Don’t use it for oil, but enjoy it! You find such fun things, our style is very similar, luckily we have the best goodwills here in the Portland area!

If you’re shopping and want to know if something is Bakelite look into doing the Bakelite smell test. You rub it with your fingers pretty quickly and then smell to see if there’s a chemical smell. My mom taught me this when I was a kid and I’ve always remembered. Also I’d change the chairs 👍

I loved those wooden chests. I love so many of the wooden things you find. That burp wood on your island is the bomb. I have a cypress basket that is carved out of one piece of wood that was my mom’s. We used it for my daughter’s wedding. Those blue crane pillows were so unique. I LOVE LOVE the stemware glasses!!
