there is a reason this time "seems more fun" to younger ppl...its because IT WAS. too many teens now tey to make all of their moments filitered and perfect. they care waaaaaay too much abt how others view them. whereas in the 2000s, yeah people had their self esteem issues and still used photoshop, etc but overall people still lived their lives and just tried being themselves. everyone wants to be the same these days

I was 14 in 2010 and people definitely still cared what others thought of them. Lots of self esteem issues. Lots of mental health issues, but with more stigma and less resources than today. BUT I think what this time period did have going for it was a much less intrusive internet. The part where the friends were all sitting in a park hanging out? I remember that. Yeah, parks still exist now, but back then phones couldn't access the internet and you had a limited number of texts per month. You tended to focus your attention more wholely on just being with the people you were with. The fact that if you dressed like this you definitely got made fun of ment that you formed really close bonds with your friends to protect each other. So lots of insecurities and problems still, but also a big focus on community and tight bonds with friends

So glad I grew up in this time. I wasn't a teenager then, I was what you'd call a "tween", but I had a cousin who was into the scene stuff, and she listened to music like this and dressed like this. I only wish I could've been old enough to experience it myself, but I'm glad this video got recommended to me, brings back so much nostalgia. 2007-2012 was the best time period ever and nothing will convince me otherwise.

It seemed like an interesting time to be alive. I was either, not born in those times, or an actual baby. I only had maybe 1 thing from that era and it was my older brother’s XBOX 360. I believe he did let me play it, I don’t fully remember. My memory mostly stops at 2014 and if I’m lucky, 2012.

The early 2010s seems weird yet alot more interesting and funner than now

I was in high school in 2010 and I absolutely dressed like this. In my case it was totally a phase and even though I sometimes cringe at the memories, I'm still glad I was a teenager in this era. My friend group looked so similar to this group, I even had the layered blond hair with black underneath, a million bracelets and the raggedy Converse. It was a fun time and it's nice to see this time capsule to see how far I've come.

bro this isn't even cringe it just gives me nostalgia for something I never had

The way I ached for these kinds of teenage years as a kid but my mom never let me cut my hair like her and her friends or wear those kinds of clothes. I turn 24 in a month and while I dress the way I’ve always wanted to now, with a modern influence of course, I think that hairstyle might just be my birthday gift to myself, here’s to you, teenage me!!

Ah yes! I was 12 turning 13 in 2010, and I was in 8th grade. 7th and 8th grade were a really fun time imo. High school was fun too but the fun wasn’t so innocent lmao Everyone would drink and smoke. Middle school fun was so innocent and you didn’t rely on substances to have a good time, it was simply jokes lol 😊
