This, I feel so, so, SO grateful for the rainy weather here in BC while most of Canada is having a heatwave. I remember the heatdome we had when my toddler was a 6mo baby, it was over 40c inside and we didn't have an air conditioner, on the day over 43c inside we had to go to stay at my grandmother's house because I was legit afraid my baby was in danger. I am sorry for those in Ontario right now. I hope that it galvinizes some people into climate activism to give us more good news!

So a while ago I tried looking for a 'good news' item to post up every day for a week from the BBC onto my Facebook site. I failed miserably with just two! So now I'm sharing this link every month instead. Please keep going Sam - you are reminding us that there are some brilliant humans out there.
I love how you focus on these stories - I think it is really important especially since so much news focuses on negative stories.

@@legitplayin6977 But that's the trick, don't you know.... All these good changes seem small in comparison to all the bad that's gone before but being small has its benefits: firstly, the Big Bads ignore it *_because_* its small and seems insignificant, which gives the Small time to gain momentum; and secondly, *_never forget that small things grow_* . Small drops of water wore away the Grand Canyon. Small seeds grow into immense redwoods. One individual can start a movement that lasts thousands of years and impacts billions, like Jesus. So don't discount the Small, my friend 🙂

Hey, thank you for sharing. One of the main reasons I make these videos is to add balance to the onslaught of terrible news that’s thrown at us that is completely overwhelming, so it’s completely understandable to feel anxious or out of control. There are so many people who care and want to make a positive impact though, and their stories aren’t amplified enough, and I hope this can be a reminder of the good out there. Take care of yourself, remember to reach out to your friends and family if you need that extra support here and there and know that you’re not alone 🙏🏼

I’m glad I found this channel just now. Definetly good news today.
Sorry the weather there has you down. Hope you have better days. Here in the southern US I'm grateful for the clouds because they'e a break from the dangerous heat. Yesterday we went fishing in the bay. That means getting up hours before dawn to get ready ang get launched by daybreak to beat the sun. By 10 am I was weak and dizzy and my hands wouldn't work, even with the iced cooling towels, so we headed back home. When I was a kid we could stay out all day in the summer. Gaia is sick, and it hurts my heart. We need to help her get better.❤
