I’m so sorry for your loss, I know how it feels to lose a dog. My loving Rio was my first dog and she nearly lasted 15 years. I had to have her put down because her arthritis made it so she couldn’t walk or stand and she was miserable. Back then there was no cure so I had to have the unthinkable happen. I miss her dearly. My favourite pirate will always be Black Sam Bellamy. He was a New Englander like myself, was one of the richest pirates in history. Black Sam was known to be a fair captain, laying down such rules as "if there aren't enough hammocks for everyone, then everyone sleeps on the floor". Reportedly he started his career as a pirate because the father of his love, told him he couldn't marry her as a poor merchant sailor. He eventually returned, the captain of a pirate ship but was killed in a violent storm off Cape Cod. The Whydah Galley, his ship was discovered several years ago and is the only verified pirate ship ever found. Also I've totally held a piece of Spanish silver found in the wreck and it's about the coolest thing I've ever done.
