Good Manners and Dining Etiquette - Pretty Woman, 1990

Good Manners and Dining Etiquette
Manners are an additional value that greatly contributes to your personal brand. If you are interested in playing in big leagues, would like to behave like a lady or a gentleman and feel confident in any environment, learning good manners and etiquette is the right decision. Social and business etiquette includes proper dining skills, silent service codes, greeting and introduction courtesy rules, hosting and gifting.
A picture is worth a thousand words! To ensure a deeper understanding and provide more meaningfulness to the basic communication and social skills training, we routinely use clips from famous movies - as an example of “what to do” or “what not to do”. The effectiveness of this online learning method is achieved through the inclusion of our visual channel of perception, emotionality of the image, and ease of submission of material.
Enjoy your experience!
This movie clip refers to the Manners and Etiquette lesson which is part of the Genius of Communication online learning course, along with six other lessons on Body Language, Verbal Communication, Effective Listening, Building Relationships, Conflict Resolution and Personal Image. Together they encompass the basics of social skills and provide one big advantage - they give us the freedom to communicate effectively with anyone and everywhere, liberate us from shyness, and shift our confidence to a higher level.

I love when she eats the mint or garnish green whatever it is. Hilarious, kinda overlooked but such great acting.😂

The elderly man was very sweet putting her at ease even though he was a powerful figure

I'd forgotten this scene! I guess I'd be just as nervous and fidgety in her place, though the smart-mouthed elderly gentleman and the waiter's reassuring response to the snail flight would have made me feel more comfortable. I know enough not to make any glaring table manner errors- I think- but I would have no idea how to eat escargot or use certain special utensils at table.

1:30 I really like the way the grandfatherly old businessman puts the nervous young lady at ease. [Just pick it up with your fingers]

You can also tell that Edward appreciated the gesture. It's possible that his eventual decision to help Mr Morse was partly because of that.
