Just wanted to say thank you for this. I used to live in the Philippines and it got pretty hard sometimes. Now I'm living in the US and able to send money to my family in the Philippines. So seeing this really made me happy... I just understand what they are all going through. Just subbed. Love the content. PS: Olongapo is where I used to live.

Philippines is such a unique, peaceful and diverse country, full of friendly warmhearted people and delicious food, the country where adventure and exploration never ends, it's more fun in the Philippines

In the Philippines, It's customary that if you are celebrating your birthday, you're the one who treats everyone and pays for everyones food and drinks. Maybe that's why someone wished you a Happy Birthday. Here in the US, everyone chips in as a group to pay for your birthday food and drinks. The birthday celebrant doesn't pay for anything on his/her birthday.

It was just a quiet day for the vendors like it will take them til forever to finish selling their goods and then you whispered LIBRE!!! It did not even take an hour to finish whatever they were selling. HAPPY DAY!

I like how this good deed contributed to the local economy. the best type of charitable action and just a win win all around.

Since they live nearby I suggest have them bring their own container ....reduce the use of plastic and fall in a line instill some discipline and order

Planned a project to make a change for good in our neighborhood when I was living in Manila fulltime mid-2000s but my wife and her family wisely advised at that time and as a foreigner, I might cause loss of face amongst local officials and put myself or them in danger.
