For me personally, this new channel is spot on! As with other channels I follow, I am invested and tend to connect better with the content when it’s real and not just fluff. That means you are more vulnerable as a creator but hopefully the reward is greater. To be honest, it is obvious your parents raised two awesome kids. Both of y’alls content is wholesome, entertaining and educational. Knowing there is always going to be ups and the inevitable downs, helps keep a healthy perspective. Being human is normal. Much love and respect to you and your team.❤

I agree with one of the comments I've seen carl. Depression in all it forms is something society is starting to openly talk about, & that's good! I read a light hearted book once called 'black dog' & it all about accepting the black dog (depression) and to know it's like a good friend that likes to come & say hi once in a while. So rather than wasting energy fighting against it, it's all about learning to live alongside it & accepting it. Youll often find depression runs in the family, but the biggest thing I've learnt is to embrace those close to you (Omi etc) & to openly talk about it, but don't take it out on them. 😊 Looking forward to seeing more quality content buddy.

That’s one thing I’ve always loved about your channel Carl, you show everything realistically instead of just showing when things are all going well. Everybody has bad days and showing it in your vlogs can help people realise that it is absolutely normal! Can’t wait to see more vlogs of just normal life!

Showing the cad days along with the good is important - it's a reminder that you're human, it's not all about the big trips and amazing catches, sometimes life is a bit of a drag. We all get it from time to time.

And Carl- I can relate to you on the fact that I can go through phases of opportunity’s or hobby’s.. but I never feel satisfied and then the hunger just fades away, and once times past I feel like I missed out on an opportunity.. I’ve gone from football, to mma, to fishing, to golf, and have never felt satisfied with any. But I’m happy you found your reason to live- ‘to make content and inspire others’ You’re a legend.

As an adult with ADHD and bipolar I can understand the up and down and also how frustrating it is when your enthusiasm seems to just disappear for no apparent reason. Just keep doing what you do. Honnestly, about the "i dont know if you wanna see my bad days" talk, its honestly very refreshing so see someone admit that and tell their viewers about it, because, yes, we most likely all have those days, and its not something that should be hidden IMO. The reason for a lot of mental health issues these days is that people tend to compare themselves to people online, but those people will only post their best days, so some viewers will be left thinkin "they have such a great life, what am i doing wrong", but in actuality, they have bad days too. I wish i would have understood this sooner and thats why i really like this channel, because even in your normal videos you show that you dont always succed or catch the biggest fish, but you still show it, and i really hope that your younger viewers, or people that have problems with showing vulnerability, can learn from this

I also suffer from anxiety & depression so I know where you're coming from. For me, although I know it must be hard to show the bad times. It makes you normal, so I think if you can handle it, show the lows as well as the highs it keeps it real ❤

I follow Jon B also! I've watched him and his channel for years, he's definitely a top notcher for all things Bass... Stripers are absolute beasts, you'd best get down the gym, cos those big striped Sallys - they'll pull your arm out of it's socket! Can't wait to see that collab... Maybe you'll end up down LOJO's neck of the woods at the Chatahootchee river damn. Imagine a Carl/Googan squad collab...! 😉 Regarding the squirts of water you see, I know that some shellfish will do this. Cockles especially. When I was a kid and lived in Essex, we'd go Cockling on Mersea Beach (more like a mudflat) at low tide. When you saw a jet of water like that, you have to be quick to dig them out with a spade. They're not as fast as Razor clams though, those things will disappear deep into the sand faster than you can blink! The best way to get razor clams is to pour table salt into their burrow. The pure salinity will make them think the tide is in, so they come up to the surface. Oh, hello BTW, love the new channel! 😁 As soon as you said you had a second vlog style I was over like a shot... Can't wait to see more shenanigans!

I live in that city and fished every lake they have in 4 years i have only ever been able to catch 2 carp so I can’t wait to see how you manage to catch as much I enjoy sitting waiting starting to get hard to not give up

I think it’s vital to show both the ups and downs of life as so many younger people have been brought up in a non competitive environment, where everyone is ‘Living their best life’, such that their expectations are so unrealistically high that they’re I’ll equipped to handle the knock backs. In many respects, fishing is the perfect representation of life due to the fickle nature of fish...and weather. You just have to keep grafting if you want success. Two vlogs in and ready for more👍🏻😎

Ahh, down days. They aren't the best are they, it leaves you wondering whether it is good to share or hide them away. Given that your vids go out to a wide range of people, I think it's a good thing. It's probably a common denominator for a lot of viewers, so in my opinion, it's good to share. Keep well, Carl.
