Lovely video!! Only thing ; I don’t get why people say to stop revving after 6200rpm’s… if you shift close to 7, you Will get at beter rpm’s/ more hp in the next gear.. so you Will move a lot faster.. abf’s are so lovely 🔥🔥 Thanks for the info!

Yes, you are right in the lower gears, 1st 2nd and maybe 3th, but time wasted waiting to hit the redline in 4th.

May i ask what oil you put in a abf? I’m going to change the oil pan. After the tear-down video from the abf lump I Will put a seal in instead of liquid. 👍🏻👍🏻 Are there things to look out for when the oilpan is of? My engine is only 120.000km old.. the block pushes out 179hp.. Thanks in advance! Awesome Channel btw! Greats from belgium 👍🏻

@@Kegels_gti_16V wow that's a new motor at 120k, I use as listed here in Europe 10w40. Never had an issue as a street car.

Made good gain! People with uprated cams will want the higher rev limit. My cam makes peak power at 7000rpm right as it hits rpm limit so I’d like to rev out to 7200-7500😩

The std ECU will need a lot of work to work with cams over 260º You maybe better of going stand alone ECU.

@@RestoDesignsnando it’s how the car came to me, runs well tbh just could do with a few hundred higher rpm limit for track. Probably right on the standalone but that’s not really in the budget for the cars future.

The was a DD motorsport one that he had on file, like a base map/file, then we did a few slight adjustments to it which could advantage of the better exhaust flow with the euro exhaust manifold and 63mm system.

Yes it is that motor, I've removed the rods with high comp pistons and the 268º cams over xmas as I wasn't 100% convinced by that setup and the limited amount of spark advance I could run. So taking it step by step to show you guys and myself what really works and going on, the next video on this will be with the standalone ECU and trying different air filters and air boxes.

Thank you, it is a ABF spec engine.

I can't seem to find that chip on your eBay page. Also my friend has a Golf mk2 1.8 16V kr, is there a chip for that too?

Hi there, I'll waiting on DD motorsport to burn a few chips first, before putting them up on eBay. Once they are ready I will let you know, unfortunately with the KR there isn't a chip, but there are other things you can do, like set ignition timing 6º to 8º or 9º, plus do the WUR fuel pressure mod.

Is this the one with the 11.5:1 and shrick 268s?

Oh that's a really good question mate and a hard one to answer, at this power level 160hp mk2, the 168hp mk3 tdi was quicker with all the torque.

@@RestoDesignsnando ya was thinking as much I have mk2 gti but I am diesel person and have followed your builds I have a full mk3 tdi conversion for it with same as you turbo and injectors be happy with 170 bhp have the 6 speed 02s box as well 😁
