She really does. And tbh she's actually just as strong, no nonsense and cunning as Lois and that's why despite how it started, their relationship does improve as the show goes on. Lois came to see Piama as a true member of the family after this episode.

Well let's see steals a woman's pet for treating her husband like crap. Has been arrested multiple times once for not leaving her home. Tossing her father's liquor for being an alcoholic. When she's pissed off at her husband she destroys his birthday gifts with the lois. I think it's fair to assume she is a 100% perfect for this family

A show like Malcolm in the middle was ahead of its time. Everything feels real. Notice the people don't look glamed up, they look like regular people. No laugh track. Creatively edited and written. Brutal dark honest truths but finding the comedy in misery. It exists in a time when tv still wanted to experiment. This is a perfect show. I would actually call it a masterpiece.

It was a great way to start the millennium, especially after the Y2K panic. The only thing I might change about the show is adding an explanation for why the Krelboynes stopped making appearances, like they got accepted into the school that Hal made Malcolm turn down. Malcolm needed them to help balance out his behavior, because it oftentimes gave him purpose. Once they were gone, he became more angst-filled, but, I believe that side of his behavior was necessary to see as well

Ikr! When you watch it again you can tell she is cause she does not even raise her voice and does the generic ' I am very disappointed in you' we all seen how she is when she is genuinely mad. There was another time when she was calm when the boys did something bad. Reese hid a dirt bike from her cause she forbade it and ended up breaking his ankle. So they made it look like Craig her coworker ran over his ankle cause he was staying there at the time. Lois found out about the dirt bike and said ' lets call it a wash' cause it got Craig out of the house cause he was driving everyone insane and overstayed his welcome and he felt guilty about what he did and moved out.

Maybe you should watch the show again, because as relatable as their relationships are, the things they do are very unrealistic and exaggerated. Thats literally why the show is entertaining. edit: lol did you not even watch this clip? Are you really you going to say that you and your siblings have done anything close to what these kids did? People do some crazy shit, but this show pushes those limits every episode. Lois face at 0:52 was excellently, so much emtion in one expression JK absolutely aced the role, captured both sides of the character perfectly, from the obnoxious bullying side ofvthe character while still capturing her inner vulnerabilities

I love how the boys defended their mom, it was so sweet! Lois may get onto their cases when they're rambunctious and annoy them, but they love her anyway. That's a real family right there.

Francis’ smirk, the way they lean down and grab the table cloth, how they sink all the way down with the cart... masterful.

This scene shows that despite of all the hate Francis shows to his mother, still loves her and the same with Malcolm and Reese
