@@GUITARISTxxxx maybe, but at least we lived in an era where people wrote their own music and actually performed and played the instruments themselves, unlike more music these days that are completely written, produced, and orchestrated digitally and then they pick a face that can't sing and digitally alter their voice so it sounds like they can perform. Everything today is just commercially made and promoted. Music used to become a hit because someone heard the song and through word of mouth it became popular. People calling into radio stations to request the song.

Can we admit that this got us through the pandemic now?

@@Schaberquatsch no. as a brass player (french horn)i know it's not easy to switch between instruments, especially when they're in a different key, and woodwind (sax is woodwind and e flat- trumpet & trombone are in c. thank you for giving me his name though, much appreciated.

My childhood friend died of cancer at 17 and him and i used to play THPS for hours and hours, and we also used to skateboard together. I'll be 34 in June and every time i hear this song it reminds me of him and puts a smile on my face.

I swear, the first time Feldmann sings "looking older all the time", he gestures or grabs his hair and makes a terrific face regarding the passage of time. It hit me as a low key iconic moment. But, now, it's been edited out with Charlie greeting his sweet dog instead. Wish we could have both on the screen, at the very least. Anyways, This video, your energy and passion searing through, was one of the very few actually bright and uplifting spots during lockdown. Thank you, guys.

There was a little place downtown called Virtual Megaplex for a bit. Little rooms with a couch, surround sound and every console and game imaginable. My buddy Kevin and I would go down there almost daily. We’d win money occasionally in THPS tourneys. There was a sign over the toilet that said, “if you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat.” The things that stick with you sometimes...

My wife doesn't have those nostalgic feelings about high school and I know alot of people don't. For me, it's hard not to happy cry thinking about the mid 90s and how life felt then. Part of me wishes I could go back..... Even for just a day.

I remember that last day before school started we would dedicate the whole day to skating, from morning afternoon to night...I was far from good but I cherished just the freedom, skating different spots, and just being kids...good times

This and the video for Bonzo Goes To Bitberg by Mikey and his Uke were the two best things to come out of quarantine. ❤❤❤

In my 30's, this song definitely hits different.

This is way more than a song.. It captures the youth and energy of an entire generation.. 20 years later it gives me goosebumps

this made me literally CRYING. My adolescence is gone forever. I used to listen to this playing THPS on playstation. Now I'm 40 and I understood the text more than ever.

The fact that this can't out a year ago- that messes with perception of time

I first listen to this song few years ago while playing the n64, tony hawk pro skater without speaking a word of english or understanding this kind of music, but once i did, i loved it. Music is really a universe language and transcend time and language barriers. Now here i am, looking older all the time, feeling younger in my mind.

Goldfinger never gets old. I loved them back in the 90s when I was a lonely high schooler listening to "If only" to now almost 40 in quarantine listening to "Hang Ups" and still thinking it is as great as I used to. "Too Late" helped me through a very tough time last year when my dad committed suicide. We had not spoken for 7 years before he died and if he only knew his son's pain. How bad that I wanted him to say 'you're doing just fine. You turned out to be one good guy' but it's too late. That song definitely felt like it was written for us and helped me get through a very difficult time. You guys are the best. I hope this virus is eradicated and you guys can tour and you come to DC.

2006: sitting home playing thps 1 with my brother, listening to goldfinger 2021: sitting home playing thps 1+2 with my niece, listening to goldfinger This song, after all these years, still holds a special place in my heart; i just melt away to another world when i hear it. I know a huge part of that was from the memories with my brother, and i hope that my niece can have these same feelings with the memories we’ve made together
