I was wondering if this was your first time watching Golden Girls! They are such savages! What is my favorite comebacks from Sophia that never gets included was Blanche: Sophia, there's something I don't understand. Now you're always a bit ornery, unpleasant, impolite, even downright mean, that's part of your charm. Sophia: Thank you, you bed hopping relic.

This was one of my all time favorite comedies. They were brutal to each other.

Before Rose, Betty White played the flirtatious "Happy Homemaker" Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore Show. She'd have given Blanche a run for her money.😉

I saw an interview with Betty. She said they originally offered her the role of Blanche. She didn't wan to do it because Blanch was too much like Sue Ann Nivens.

She did “sort of” reprise her role in the love boat when she was a cameo guest star on the show. My mom has been watching it recently and that’s how I know this now.

Golden Girls was a great show. They had the best comedy writers in the business coming up with all of those zingers.

One of my favorites is when the girls are really sick and Blanche is looking for her heating pad and dorothy has it under her blanket. Blanche "dorothy have you seen my heating pad?" Dorothy-" no i haven't. Blanche "well if this isnt it then I'd like to know what other electrical device you have under this blanket!"

Those women were savage but they were also the best of friends. If you haven’t watched the show or aren’t a little bit familiar with the characters, you miss a lot of the subtext. Like when Sophia told Dorothy jealousy was ugly and so was she in anything backless, Sophia was saying that to her own daughter.

These women were cruel ...with each other, and people who came to their house. They never held back. Too funny.

Ah, The Golden Girls... One of the funniest sitcoms ever. And you couldnt make this series no, in today's hyper walking on eggshells avoiding to not offend anyone culture.
