Aymen Nib split or STEAL. It uses the exact same concept and morality as illegal stealing except this stealing is legal. You claim she's stupid for not choosing steal despite knowing the other person would steal however she morally chose not to and knows that in this game 2 steals means NOBODY get the money so it's pointless.

I’d say evil is a justified description personally. Aim of the game, yes, but have a bit of pride about it and you don’t have to rub it in someone’s face and belittle them in the process.

Notice how the old lady never explicitly said ‘I’m going to split’

She says she's the victor, and yet she totally got called out by that girl. She's not clever at all. The girl noticed her mistake, and then gave her the choice to be good, rather than being spiteful. She's clever in the sense that a fox is clever for tricking ducklings into walking it it's mouth Don't kid yourself lady, by making that decision you weren't just following through on your convictions to win the game, you were making a moral decision.

She isn't good at lying though. When she was asked which was the split ball, she could so easily have lied and touched the steal ball. Then she could easily have said she touched the wrong ball at any point after that. The black girl knew she was blatantly lying but only went along with it because it's better that the bad person gets the money than goes along with it. That said, the black girl was extremely foolish for not forcing her to split. I admire that she would rather someone gets the money than nobody gets the money, but she should have at least tried harder to convince her to change her ball.

As a body language enthusiast, I made several notes without knowing the result, which I made to build a case for the verdict. (For the record I did make three notes that proved to be wrong). I would like to share the clues I believe revealed their intentions. Ella 0:23 - Tight lipped closed smile (Hiding deceit) (Can also be seen on verdict at 3:58) 0:43 - Steeple fingers + finger on chin (Calculating - think car salesman) 0:46 - Rapidly and unnaturally snaps to a change of position on word 'steal' 0:53 - Biting lip - (Holding something back) 1:03 - Eyes light up upon 'steal' info. 1:05 - Rapid blinking (Dishonest) 2:08 - Throughout her story her hands are clasped and closed from her counterpart (who was ultra open). 2:25 - As she puts all her effort in to the smile, she unconsciously hides her hands far below the table and ends up in the 'naughty school child' sitting position. Michelle 0:37 - Genuine smile, bottom and top set showing. 0:40 - Vulnerable sitting position, delicately on guard, innocent. 0:49 - 'Eek' - Mouth expression, genuinely worried. Also at 1:29 and 1:42. 0:52 - Another friendly and genuine smile at the thought of splitting with counterpart. 0:59 - Praying. She is hoping, not plotting. 1:51 - Consistent story, keeps a good tempo. 1:59 - Open palms throughout story (hiding nothing). 2:30 - Sat upright, positive, showing her cards + praying. Conclusion From the start Michelle is engaging Ella with eye contact and does so throughout. Ella is fixed on Jasper and only reciprocates smiles when there is a cue to do so. You can see at 1:12 Ella, not wanting to engage in eye contact, takes a short look at Michelle who I'm sure would have looked back at this point, hence Ella quickly looks back at Jasper and realises she forgot to smile so plasters one on late. The only plus I can give Ella is that she spoke well when telling Michelle her story. However, the slip up from Ella when picking up the ball she claimed was not the steal ball was truly fascinating. Like a rabbit in the headlights her game should have been over at that point. Then she declared 'I'm happy with this ball' - which offered no reassurance and as good as admitted it was the steal ball. Ella however, recognising the kindness and naivety of her opponent, made a killer ultimatum - an emotional blackmail to change balls and make Michelle to the villain if she agreed to the change and it turned out to be the steal - Michelle wouldn't be able to live with herself and would rather risk losing the money than besmirch her own good character. I feel terribly sorry for Michelle, I guess nice people do lose.

The reason why everyone that steals are idiots is that they think they have deceived the other person but in reality the other person just has a kind heart. The skill is not in the stealing but being generous enough to split. Anyone can steal

But they’re still going home with a large sum of money so saying that they’re idiots isn’t correct. I’d say they’re more manipulative and conniving. They use other people’s kindness against them which is a good strategy for winning but they have to suspend their morals (if they have any)

But they are not using the other person kindness against them, once one has chosen steal, the other person will win nothing no matter what they pick. In the case of the video the young one totally knew the old lady was stealing, but chose to split just so at least someone wins.

The thing is.. sure you lied to 25 odd grand... but you will be branded untrustworthy forever. So i'd say they're the real losers. Integrity is worth far far more.

There's a fine line between being holy and being stupid. Even God said an eye for an eye. If you knew she picked steal why would you give her the satisfaction of taking away any money especially since she lied to your face? Some people need to learn the difference between being holy and being a pushover.

Yeah but logic says you go home without money either way. Unless I felt I could truly guilt the old lady by threatening the choice of a double steal I would let the old lady have it too. Plus the church goer had a personal objection to stealing, she really didn't want to give up her morals.

She could have switched balls which would have forced the old lady to switch too since she said she would. Ultimately she wants money any amount so I’m sure she would have switched if the young lady did as well!

Given that they both knew it was the steal ball, why not threaten "I'll swap my ball and we'll both get nothing or you swap and we both get £15,000". There's no way she can decline that and she'd have had to split. Not saying this small, obvious suggestion is somehow an incredible spot but a little thinking on the spot would've gotten her £15,000.

Whenever I watched this I always thought about whether its creators intended to create quite a deep and depressing show that really exposes what kind of people are out there. The way she takes pure delight in stealing and shows rather obviously that she values greed over helping someone or potentially making a new friend. Fucked up fam.

You have to be a saint to know that the other person has chosen steal and yet still choose split. I hope that young girl is doing very well in life now.

Notice how the granny avoided saying that she's picking the split ball. She couldn't lie just flat out, she had to beat around the bush saying "we're gonna be very happy people" or "trust me" or "we'll go home happy"

She caught her in a lie and STILL didn't teach her a lesson. Girl, you should have switched your ball. She was right to catch her off guard and ask her during the discussion where her Split ball was and then saw her actually choose the other ball. Then CALLED HER OUT ON IT like a savage. But still didn't teach her a lesson. She's an honorable fool but she'll learn later in life that the moral high ground gets you nowhere when people play dirty

When the old lady says "I can change too if you want", after the black lady realized that she didn't pick the ball she touched when she was telling her that she would pick the "split ball", Imagine that she would've actually changed balls, and at the end she really had picked the "split", but then swapped as the black lady requested to the "steal" ball.

I like to study statement analysis - more than body language - peoples words give them away like you wouldn’t believe. It’s very hard to actually lie, and people often tiptoe around a lie. “Let’s both go home happy” “I’m happy with my choice” “I’m happy with half of the money” are huge red flags, and not the same as the statement “I promise I will split the money”. The girl with integrity saw the deception and called it out but her morals would not let her choose steal - her sole shines bright, may god bless her always.

Praise and worship leader like “That was for my church” Granny nodding in agreement like “The Lord giveth. But he helped me repossess it!!”

At 2.27 you can see the moment her forced smile disappears, that's when her true intention becomes clear. It's only a split second and very subtle indicator but it can be spotted if you know what you're looking for.

The young lady could've easily known which ball the old cow had. She said "if you're going to change the ball i am going to change mine." The old lady knows that if the younger one picks the other ball, then the young lady is punishing her meaning that she is picking the "Steal" one. Therefore, the young lady should pick the steal one and if and only if the old lady changes her ball, it means that she was honest and that she had the "Split". At this point, the young lady can change back to the "split" ball and no matter what the old lady does next, the younger should know which ball is which. IF the old lady doesn't change her ball when the younger one does - as a mean of punishing her - she won't change the steal ball and then the young lady would know, again, which ball is which.

We have just seen the real life Cruella De Vil in action.

"If you change your ball, I'm going to change mine." Should have called the bluff to see what she did.

The sad thing about the older person is that despite being through much, she obviously doesn't have any heart to split. She thinks it's "just a game" when as a matter of fact it's something that really reveals her true colors. It shows that she has learned nothing and the other young girl has a bright future ahead of her. The girl's cause was amazing and though her generosity has lost her out in the short-term, in the long-term, she will be very successful. The greed the older woman displayed proves that she hasn't been successful in life, otherwise, she wouldn't possess so much greed. Props to the younger gentlewoman!

The old lady never actually said that she'll split. That's a big indicator that she will steal.
